There's no such thing as non-political. Senators have a vote same as everybody else. If they vote they vote for a party, therefore they are NOT non-partisian.

And by the way, do I see four women appointed and only three men? What happened to 'gender equality'?

You're right. All of them should have been women. Considering that of the 108 seats in the senate, only, up to now, 30 are held by women. By appointing the 3 men, it will now be impossible for Trudeau to achieve gender parity in the Senate. Good catch.

Never said she didn't! :) I know nothing about the woman, I'm just suspicious about politicians in general. :)
don't be suspicious, see them for what they are, there are differnt type of politicians,I was able to glean this knowledge as I information audited, there are wh ores and then there are wh ores, they are easy to distinguish, knowing the difference is the most important mechanics to know.
this "women" is the least of your worries, her creditability speaks volumes, then again,it is a wait and see, something to watch for.
where someone is positoned with the poltical party and within the hierachery plays importance in the "trust"factor.

it dates you, therefore it is easy to forgive you for your ignorance.

Who wouldn't be wearing a silly grin if they just got appointed to a posh position for life with an astronomical salary and perks? and just for having their names in the news a lot!

If they don't owe their loyalty to the liberal caucus, then who owns them? it certainly is not the average citizen, we didn't get to vote for them.

is anyone following me on this?

Unlike Alberta, Ontario refused to run elections for senate nominee's. I believe BC also refused.

I think that everyone refused except Alberta. It was so long ago.

W, Did Stockwell Day ever comply with the demand of the national petition and change his name to "Doris"?

I want to see the Conservatives back ... the real thing, this time, not the neocon Republican wannabees.
