EVERY deity based religion has a creation story and most, if not all, have an end of the world story. The stories of the beginning and end of the world aren't unique to the Abrahamic religions. The Flood story isn't unique to them either. Hell, even the Australian aborigines have a flood story that long predates their contact with other cultures. In fact, even the Resurrection story isn't unique to Christianity. The names and places and circumstances of death are different, but the basic premise is similar.


But the major problem with the English language Bible is it's a translation of a now dead language, that was translated from a now dead language, that was translated from a language that's so dead , only about half a dozen people on the planet can interpret it.
Not only that but the Book of Genesis in it's original language, is written in the allegorical. Translating from one language to another can be tricky, often times losing the true sentiment or meaning behind what was said/written. Translating from the allegorical of a long dead language into English or any other modern language can be nearly impossible because we have to assume some things in order for it to make sense. Kind of like when physicists devise new kinds of math to try and prove their theories. You make some sh*t up to bridge the gaps in your understanding and voila, problem solved.
Only in the case of the Bible it's even worse because the dead language the English Bible was translated from had already done the assuming of the allegorical meanings, which would be magnified as each new translation came out.
