yes he will.

I was on a sports chat yesterday and we discuss hockey. One guy was at a Rangers game and said something negative. He was corrected by a gentleman who sat behind him at the game. The chatter did not appreciate getting reprimanded (even though it was done politely) and he asked the reproacher, "and how would you know?"

That gentleman introduced himself as Andy Bathgate.

Naturally, that ended the debate.

Islanders > Pitt 2-1

Pitt got frustrated several times and slashed the Isles who did not swing back. But I'm wondering if all that slashing caused injury ...

I've noticed pittsburg on several occasions become quite 'childish' when losing, they ruin their own
game by losing focus on what they 'should' be doing.

P.K. Subban leaves game on stretcher in Canadiens win
Kelsey Patterson, THE CANADIAN PRESS
First posted: Thursday, March 10, 2016 10:48 PM EST | Updated: Friday, March 11, 2016 12:47 AM EST
MONTREAL - The sight of P.K. Subban lying motionless on the ice for several minutes cast a shadow on the Canadiens' victory.
Montreal's 3-2 win against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night was delayed late in the third period as Subban had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.
Subban suffered a neck injury when teammate Alexei Emelin accidentally ran into him, knocking him on the side of the head with his back side while retrieving the puck in Montreal's corner.
The Canadiens' star defenceman spent eight minutes on the ice as the team's trainers and doctors tended to him. He was taken to the hospital for further testing and the team said he had normal movement in his extremities.
"It's scary to see that many trainers and doctors on the ice," said captain Max Pacioretty, who added Subban was communicating with him shortly after the incident. "Nobody knew exactly what happened. That was the scariest part for me. It looked like a nothing play.
"It was impossible to concentrate after that."
After the lengthy delay, Montreal (32-30-6) held on to the one-goal lead for its second consecutive victory.
Both teams, however, agreed the game became a side note after Subban's injury.
"It sucked the wind out of both teams," said Montreal's Torrey Mitchell, who scored the game winner in the third period. "When you see a guy go down like that, and the stretcher comes out, it takes the life out of you. We're just praying that Subby is okay right now."
Added Sabres coach Dan Bylsma: "You're trying to win a hockey game but you almost felt like you don't want to keep playing at that point and time. The game's an after-thought."
Subban has played 273 consecutive regular-season games for the Canadiens -- the team's longest active streak. He last missed a game on Jan. 30, 2013. That streak will likely be broken on Saturday when Montreal plays Minnesota.
Everything was looking good for Montreal before Subban's injury.
The red-hot Alex Galchenyuk scored twice and now leads the Canadiens with 25 goals this season.
Playing in his third consecutive game as Montreal's first-line centre, Galchenyuk beat Robin Lehner from point-blank range after a nifty pass from Pacioretty behind the net at 9:09 of the second period.
The 22-year-old added his second of the game at 19:16 of the second. With Montreal on the power play, Galchenyuk was left all alone in front of goal for the easy one-timer to put Montreal up 2-1.
"We knew he was on fire and unfortunately we were unable to stop him," said Bylsma. "It was a quick out to the front of the net and Alex is all alone, all by himself, standing in front of our goalie. For a guy that's that hotb &"
Galchenyuk, who recorded his third consecutive two-goal game and team-leading seventh of the season, has 11 goals in his last eight games. According to Elias Sports, Galchenyuk is the first Habs player with 5 multi-goal efforts in an eight-game span since Jean Beliveau in 1959.
After former Canadiens captain Brian Gionta tied things up at 2-2 at 5:10 of the third period, Mitchell scored the winner for Montreal at 13:21.
The winger managed to control a bouncing puck to beat Lehner, who stopped 31-of-34 shots, through traffic.
The loss was Buffalo's (27-33-9) first against an Atlantic-Division opponent since Oct. 17.
The Canadiens jumped into 11th in the Eastern Conference with the win. They are 7-0-1 in their last eight home games.
Mike Condon made 36 saves for his 17th win of the season, best among rookie goaltenders.
Notes: Nicolas Deslauriers also scored for the Sabres. b & Montreal got its first power-play goal in seven games. b & The Canadiens play the Sabres again next Wednesday in Buffalo. b & Prior to puck drop, Montreal presented the Jean Beliveau trophy to Subban for his community involvement.

Red Deer man cites hockey as religion in driver's licence hat spat
By Clara Ho, Postmedia
First posted: Saturday, March 12, 2016 07:34 PM EST | Updated: Sunday, March 13, 2016 01:26 AM EST
Hockey may be Ken Egilsson’s religion, but that’s not enough to convince the province to allow him to wear his treasured Edmonton Oilers cap for his driver’s licence photo.

“Everybody should have a right to wear whatever they want on their head as a dressing as long as they’re not obscuring their face and it’s not offensive,” said the Red Deer man.

“My hat, it’s my very personal beliefs that I want to wear it, just as personal as somebody’s religious beliefs.

“I don’t have the right to trample on their religious beliefs to wear anything, so nobody should have the right to trample on my personal beliefs to wear my hat.”

Egilsson said he went to renew his expired driver’s licence on March 3, paid all outstanding fines and the renewal fee.

When it came time for him to take a photo, he was asked to remove his hat.

“Every other time they’ve asked me to remove my ball cap, I’ve shaken my head and said, ‘What a stupid law,’” he said.

“This time, I stood my ground.”

Because of his refusal, the registry office staff said they could not issue him a new card. So he walked out.

Jo-Anne Nugent, spokeswoman with Service Alberta, said people who wear head coverings for religious and medical reasons can keep them on for driver’s licence or identification photos if they are worn daily for these purposes.

But head coverings for fashion, work or even safety reasons need to be removed briefly for a photo.

“It’s important that the holder of a driver’s licence or identification card can be easily recognized through his or her photo and signature on the card,” Nugent said in a statement.

“These are essential parts of the security of the province’s driver’s licences and identification cards.”

Using hockey as an analogy, Egilsson said some people have a near-religious devotion for the sport so they should be able to wear a cap bearing a logo of their favourite hockey team, citing religious reasons.

“People pour their hearts and soul into the devotion to a go,” he said.

“Why is it so wrong for me to pour my heart and soul and devotion into hockey?”

Egilsson also took issue with the rule of needing to be “easily recognizable” in a photo, because he said people can drastically change their looks by cutting their hair or shaving their face.

Initially, Egilsson had said he would take this fight all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.

Now, he’s not so sure, but he’s not ready to give up the battle.

“I’m one guy. I’ve had many supporters saying, ‘Keep going, Ken,’” he said.

“I don’t have endless amounts of money to pay for lawyers, but I shouldn’t have to protect my personal rights.”

True. But they beat the Rangers today so somebody must have told them to shape up or else.

Crosby is rolling now.

winning and losing just comes and goes, all teams have the ability to do both at any time.

the leafs are just where they want to be, at the bottom waiting with
open arms to welcome the number one draft pick, they made their plan to tank
some time ago, stripped their team down to a skeleton crew, and now its just
a waiting game. BUT oh wait, even at the bottom they still only have a 20%
chance of winning the grand prize, hope it goes to Edmonton, lol, wouldn't
that just pizz off all of the eastern folks, don't hold your breath folks,
its not in the bank yet.

I think this Joe McDonald who does the power rankings is "out to lunch". Canucks (5,5,0) in their last ten is rated 29th, one notch above the Laffs!
