Ted Cruz a true Calgarian in spirit. (His city of birth)

Alberta the best place in North America to live, second only to Texas of course.

I just did a little research on Ted Cruz on the internet and in my opinion he is more preferable for Prez than the Donald. Lacks the bluster and bull sh*t for one thing!

Simmer down a little, Walter! I don't want to see his chances f**ked up. :)

NYPD officer Jim Smith, husband of fallen police officer Moira Smith, sent the invitation in a Facebook post on Thursday after Cruz attacked Republican primary front-runner Donald Trump for embodying “New York values.”

“I invite you to come to the National 9-11 Memorial and Museum and see for yourself, and perhaps learn something about, the values of New Yorkers and the Heroes who defended American values on September 11th, 2001,”

Moira Smith’s battered shield, number 10467, was recovered from the ruins. Jim Smith would be sure to show it to Cruz on display along with her gun belt at the September 11 museum.

When Cruz emerges from the museum to stand where Jim Smith’s wife died, the Texas senator will be able to look across West Street from the memorial to the headquarters of Goldman Sachs, his own wife’s employer.

As has been reported in The New York Times, Heidi Cruz borrowed as much as $500,000 from the Wall Street mega-firm where she is a managing director to help bankroll her husband’s 2012 run for Senate. A Cruz spokeswoman says his failure to disclose the Goldman Sachs loan was “inadvertent.” The spokeswoman could not explain how the half-million from the vampire squid jibes with the touching tale Ted Cruz has told of telling his “sweetheart” that he wanted to “liquidate our entire net worth, liquid net worth, and put it in the campaign.”

Now running for president, Cruz has an even bigger need for money. And when he came to New York in December, it was not to visit the 9/11 Memorial.

The man who talks about carpet-bombing ISIS in fact skipped a Senate hearing on ISIS to attend a Madison Avenue fundraiser. A $2,700-per-person “VIP reception” was followed by a $1,000-a-plate luncheon. The event was hosted by Joseph Konzelmann, a managing director at what else but Goldman Sachs.

Cruz has also issued a formal apology to the people of New York. It reads as follows:
I apologize to the millions of New Yorkers who have been let down by liberal politicians in that state. I apologize to the hard working men and women of the state of New York who have been denied jobs because Governor Cuomo won't allow fracking. Even though there had been many high paying jobs just south in Pennsylvania, New Yorkers are denied the ability to provide for their families. I apologize to all the pro-life and pro-marriage and pro-second amendment New Yorkers who were told by Governor Cuomo that they have no place in New York because that's not who New Yorkers are.
I apologize to all the small businesses who have been driven out of New York city by crushing taxes and regulations.
I apologize to the millions of unborn children, many African-American and Hispanic, whose lives have been taken by politicians who relentlessly promote abortion on demand with no limitations. I apologize to all of the African-American children who Mayor de Blasio tried to throw out of their charter schools that were providing a lifeline to the American Dream.
I apologize to the people of New York who are offended when the New York Daily News lambastes anyone who prays for victims of violence.
I apologize to the people of faith who are ridiculed and insulted by the New York media. And I apologize to all the cops and the firefighters and 9/11 heroes who had no choice but to stand and turn their backs on Mayor de Blasio, because Mayor de Blasio over and over again stands with the looters and criminals rather than the brave men and women of the law.
And to the millions of conservatives--working men and women in New York, with common sense values, trapped by the failures of your political leaders--I am glad to tell you, help us on the way. 2016, like 1980, will bring America back.

I'm voting for the most famous actor or singer out there who is running. A president should be a representative of what his or her nation stands for and by god I want someone who at least has won a Grammy or an Oscar. Because that is what matters to our people gawd damnit.

Donald Trump on Friday called Texas Sen. Ted Cruz an "anchor baby" during a campaign stop in which he also said his chief Republican rival got "pummeled" at Thursday night's GOP debate.

"Ted Cruz may not be a U.S. citizen, right? But he's an anchor baby. No, he's an anchor baby -- Ted Cruz is an anchor baby in Canada," Trump quipped in a speech to supporters in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Trump's use of the term -- which describes children born on U.S. soil to parents who are in the country illegally and is widely considered to be derogatory -- marks the latest escalation of his attacks against Cruz in which he highlights the Texas senator's Canadian birthplace.

Mysterious dude in Iowa is following Ted Cruz around and accusing him of liking Nickelback

The protester, who has refused to identify himself to the press or name his affiliations, also handed out copies of Cruz's birth certificate, according to the newspaper.

"I just don't want, really, a Canadian in office," the protester told The Washington Post. "It seems like he's got a lot of controversy behind him whether he's a U.S.-born citizen or not and I'm just out here making a statement."

Tying Cruz to the Canadian band Nickelback — whose members grew up in Alberta, the same Canadian province where the Texas senator was born — has the double, but obscure, whammy of reminding primary voters of the questions raised by Trump while also implying that Cruz has terrible musical taste.

However, the band took the protester's jabs in stride in a Jan. 11 tweet, "NICKELBACK Employee of the Month. January 2016. #Election2016 #Nickelback4President"

But, when asked about his favorite Nickelback song, the protester told the Post, "I don't like Nickelback."

Except when he says crap like, "I'm a Christian first and an American second." Can you imagine the uproar from the right wing if some Muslim had said they were a Muslim first and an American second.

Secondly, how can Cruz even be president? There's absolutely zero mystery as to where he was born.

His mother was a US citizen when Ted was born, that makes him a natural born citizen of the US. You need to brush up on the US constitution.

Just like Barack Obama.

And the idea that being the child of a citizen makes you a citizen isn't in the Constitution. It's current Federal law, subject to change.

Quite the contrary. It's pretty clear from the history that the Founders meant "natural born" to mean "born in the country."

Uh no, he's not. He was born in Canada and his parents were not working here in an official capacity. That makes him a natural born Canadian.
