Sure, murders happen in all kinds of situations by all kinds of people. What is disturbing about those who commit 'honor' killings is the defiance they demonstrate when brought to justice. The defendants say that our laws mean nothing to them; they follow only Islam.
That mindset is what is disturbing.
Native born Canadians who commit murder know when they are caught that they have broken a serious law. Their defense is 'SODDIT' (some other dude did it) or that it was justified. They try to avoid the law but they don't flaunt their disregard for it.
