Russia and Iran are well aware of the quagmire they are in.
Russian carpet bombing will not dislodge the rebels or ISIL.
The Syrian Army and Hezbollah are exhausted and spent. Sure there will be short term gains but they are not even close to taking back what they lost.
And the Iranians... lol... the Iranians are getting shredded. The supposedly elite Iranian Revolutionary Guard has been exposed as to what they are. They are a simple Middle East Militia that are better suited to shooting it's own people in the streets than fighting a war. The Revolutionary Guards have proven to be no more than a nuisance and their Generals can't keep their heads out of the way of rebel snipers.
Russia and Iran are petrified which is way they are pleading for terms with the FSA.

At least they are offering them something other than certain death. Just imagine all the books they could write based on their confessions. A new market for all the old west novels that have been written in North America so they get an idea of what to do once the guns are back in the holster. It is a pen that demands a full confession before they will be exiled to whatever place hire them as most are foreign mercs. I doubt they would qualify as immigrants to Syria. Don't give it up and they will get a small plot of land for eternity. NATO and Israel usually skip that step if nobody is watching.

First moon impact... lmao. The Russians smashed into the moon first so they won. The US walked on it multiple times. We have probes beyond the solar system, rovers on Mars, telescopes in space. We RULE BIACH!
I've pointed out the spurning of the Russian peace proposals already. The Russians are in a quagmire and have gone to the rebels on bent knee. They came out of the gate bombing everything and have failed. Now Putin is looking for an exit strategy.
