Stephen Harper is "playing a very divisive game" with his government's effort to impose a ban on niqabs during the citizenship oath, NDP Leader Tom Mulcair said Monday, just days before a French-language debate in Quebec — a province in which identity politics continues to drive a wedge between voters.

I think people immigrating to this country can do whatever the f**k they like in the confines of their own homes but when they are in public, proacting with Canadians then out of common courtesy they should adhere to the customs and habits of Canadians. That's because the fact that so many people believe it's a big deal.. is a big deal.

The masses when they get together can get quite excitable and say a lot of trivial things that aren't a big deal. It's also known as "mob mentality". :) :)
