12-year-old British Gypsy girl scores higher than Einstein on IQ test

A 12-year-old British girl is brainier than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking if her IQ test is anything to go by. Nicole Barr scored a perfect 162 on her Mensa IQ test, two points higher than the two legendary scientists.

The score puts Barr in the top 1% of the brightest people on the planet and implies she is more intelligent than physicists Hawking, Einstein and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who are all thought to have an IQ of 160.

“She’s a hard working child. She stays after school for homework club and never misses a day,” said her 34-year-old mother Dolly Buckland.

“From a young age she’s been picking out mistakes in books and magazines. She’s a happy, fun-loving girl who is always asking for extra homework,” Buckland told British tabloid the Daily Mirror.

“When I found out I got such a high score, it was so unexpected. I was shocked,” said Barr, who received her IQ test results last week.

“Nicole’s IQ puts her comfortably within the top 1% of the population,” said Mensa spokesman Ann Clarkson.

The girl, who is a Year 7 student in Burnt Mill Academy, enjoys reading, singing and drama. At primary school, Barr was several years ahead of her peers and could tackle complex algebra before the age of 10.

Hawking is the greatest scientist alive today. He's the early 21st Century's equivalent of Newton, Darwin or Einstein.

Crothers disagrees with you and he has the math to back up his facts, you are a common adherant of scientism.

Sod Crothers. I don't even know who he is.

Hawking is the greatest scientist alive today. He certainly chose a much better career path than his brother, Davros.

Apart from the obvious, they both have several things in common. For example, they are both scientific geniuses, but whereas one discovered Hawking radiation the other created the Daleks, the second-most evil beings in the universe (after the Germans).

Stephen Hawking, discoverer of Hawking radiation

Hawking's evil brother Davros, creator of the Daleks

So's your pretend Navy

A line from Blackadder Goes Forth:

"Captain Blackadder gone totally tonto. Bring straightjacket for immediate return to Blighty."

One slight change to that:

"Captain Morgan gone totally tonto. Bring straightjacket for immediate return to Blighty."

I can't find anywhere that says Blackadder was based on a Canadian.

I do know, however, that Sir Tony Robinson has said there may be a new series.

The Stanford Binet IQ Test is the widespread disrepute even in academic circles. It is a test that predicts accomlishment in quantitative non abstract western curriculums. It does not measure abstract, qualitative, aesthetic reasoning. It does not measure conceptual, synthetic or inventive intelligence.

It has proved useful in identifying those who will fit into scientific, administrative and academic bureaucracies with a minimum amount of dissent or creativity. So big deal. It definitely does NOT mean we have another Einstein here.. or Shakespeare. And Mensa is filled with cranks who think the world just doesn't understand their brilliance.. which is why their lives are such a mess.

SWEET... I have gypsy blood in my veins... Although its more of the ROMA kind :p

Do you rob people at cashpoints and set up camp in public parks, leaving behind a mess of car tyres and used needles once you finally leave?
