Was the real Jewish Garden of Eden located in Jerusalem?
Dr. Francesca Stavrakopoulou a biblical scholar thinks so.

When I add in the research being done by archeologist Israel Finkelstein showing what may be the true picture of the ancient Israelites, I too begin to think that the Jewish Eden was in Jerusalem. The God /King would have been from the Levi tribe and a Levi priest who would have been the head of the Jewish Divine Council.

I think that the key is the river Gihon that ties it all together.
What do you think?
Was Eden in Jerusalem and did they have a God/King in charge?
Were all of our Gods and Kings always humans?

Garden (or Paradise or Heaven as it is called by some Christians) is not on earth; it is in heaven. It is ethereal spiritual, not material; souls and spirits that are righteous and monotheists will be admitted into it in the afterlife and following Judgment.
The word Garden implies it is like the gardens of this life of the World, but the difference is that our gardens are material, while the Garden of the Next Life is ethereal.
The word Eden means 'seven'.
The meaning: the seven ethereal heavens are the Garden or Paradise. It is called the 'kingdom of heavens' in the Gospel; Jesus called it as such.
So the 'kingdom of heavens' is the seven ethereal Paradises or Gardens.
Such Gardens or Paradises are two Gardens for each pious righteous monotheist: who devote himself to God alone in the belief and worship; so that the prophet, the martyr and the righteous will be admitted into the temporary
Garden of Refuge, immediately following death, then on Judgment Day they will be admitted into the permanent
Garden of Everlasting (or Garden of Prosperity.)
Man after Death
Therefore, there is nothing like Garden of Eden in Jerusalem or in any other location.
