You'd almost think that the guy would at least learn not to keep getting caught in the same trap over and over again
It's definitely why he hides behind spam posting cut & pastes, and avoids putting his own opinions out there.

He can only regurgitate what he reads. he doesn't actually get it.

Phew.. Alberta just dodged a bullet. Thanks goodness for the NDP.

Reckless PC spending cuts will make oil downturn worse for Albertans

Edmonton – The nine per cent budget cuts proposed by finance minister Robin Campbell and Premier Jim Prentice will plunge Alberta into a downward economic spiral, harm Albertans who rely on public services, and further threaten to push Alberta toward recession.

On Wednesday, February 11, the finance minister joined Premier Jim Prentice in a press conference updating Albertans on their plan to tackle government deficits caused by low oil prices and an irresponsible tax system. In the conference, the premier cited the languishing price of oil as a pretext for austerity measures and spending cuts.

“Jim Prentice has an opportunity here to show some leadership and political courage. Today’s press conference is an indication that he isn’t going to take that opportunity. This is terrible news for all Albertans,” Alberta Federation of Labour president Gil McGowan said. “The premier knows that we’re facing a possible recessionary period – and every credible economist will tell you that slashing spending at this time will only deepen that recession.”

Despite the Premier saying he has heard that Albertans want a measured and reasoned response to the current fiscal reality, the PC government announced up to a nine per cent cut in government spending across the board. This will mean billions of dollars less each year for the front-line services on which Albertans rely, without addressing the underlying problem that the province’s budgets are too dependent on fluctuating resource revenues.

“When you cut spending this drastically, you put people out of work. When you put more people out of work, they stop spending. And when that many people stop spending, the economy grinds to a halt,” McGowan said. “Unless Premier Prentice can step up and provide leadership on royalties and taxes, Alberta could be heading for some very dark times.”

Prentice budget cuts will deepen recession

Prentice would have killed this province. Plain and simple. The man was a useless tard surrounded by the privileged. They needed the kick in the head.

Critical thought is such an important thing.... But memes are nice too, at least for those that can't put the thoughts together in the first place

I see you two have a real problem contributing anything of substance to this thread, and these last 2 posts seem to describe yourselves so well of late.

I hide behind cut & paste spam? While ignoring the big picture? While regurgitating stuff I can't actually explain when asked about?

Put the bottle down, pumpkin.

Again, put the bottle down.

My opinions are quite clear in this thread.

Just because I didn't bite at Flossters distraction Op/Ed piece, and ignored it for the trash it is, from the garbage can that published it. Doesn't negate that.

I've made my position painfully clear.

But on that note, I see that you contribute less than nothing to the actual OP.

Thanks for coming out

Yes, you would have preferred to keep the elitists in power so their friends could continue on with the good life.

You know, the poor poor friends that Mciver lamented about. The ones making 125k plus per year who were "only making ends meet".

You would have preferred Prentices take on taxes. No increase of corporate taxes, but increased taxes and fees for the average Joe.

Yes, we know where you stand, over all. The same place as the entitled PC's. Fu ck the little guy, give the corps the break cause they line the PC pockets.

She wore her hat backwards last week by mistake.

Posting economic advice and criticism from the Alberta Federation of Labour president is likee posting advice on morals and ethics regarding children from the president of NAMBLA.

Look I agreee. The last person you can realistically expect to dress like an Albertan is Notley. I mean, it's nice that shee tries to fit in with the peoplee out heree and that's what should be important. Effort. Blaming her or her staff imported from outsidee Alberta is unfair.

It was the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre this weekend. The Prime Minister of Serbia was in Bosnia in an act of reconciliation and was attacked by a mob throwing rocks.

Reminded me of a place called Drvar one July. A patrol reported a lorry of rocks parked in an alley. I knew there was an impromptu demonstration planned for the next day so I had an APC arrive early and block the truck from being rolled out when things got hot. Probably saved at least one life that day. My little contribution to "world peace".

Your little rant is hilarious... Sad and pathetic, sure, but a laugh riot all the same.

By the by, if you can get past your feeling sorry for yourself and stop focusing on the 'elitists' long enough to actually look where the little guy stands, you'll see that the corp taxes that you believe is the big win for the little guy actually costs you... The company you work for will see a 20% increase in their tax bill... Leaves less money to provide pay raises or light $50 Cohibas with $100 bills, either or both maybe.

That said, your new found buddy also saw fit to increase personal income tax rates... I expect that you, as a plumber, are in the top bracket, so assuming that your pay doesn't increase and you don't put in more billable hours, your take-home pay just got slashed.

... Score 1 for the little guy, right?

One last point: I expect that you equate corp taxes as affecting the oil companies, oh, and the 'elitists'... Sad reality is this; since Dec 2014 when commodity prices fell, the majority of oil companies will be making substantially lower profits (if any)...... The big irony is that the gvt coffers won't reflect any gains from the increased corp tax rate from the energy sector, but the Dippers will be spending-a-plenty... Rachel will be needing more dough.... Maybe Rachel will have to ask the plumbers and electricians for a little more cash to sustain the operations.

Think of it as your 'fair share'.
