and the vast majority of people that turned facebook into a rainbow do not fit either of those criteria.

Well what do you suppose is the intellectual depth of the average Facebook (or any social media) user? I mean no social medium really inspires in depth dialogue.

And yes, I do recognize the irony in me asking you that question. Lol

By the way, did you leave work an hour early the other day? ;)

You may have explained this already, but what makes you believe this?

Can I get in on that?

OMG!! OF COURSE!!! We'll have to decide where to have this commune. I like the idea of a travelling commune, check out all of Canada, from a caravan. Traveller/gypsy style. I love horses. We'd need some goats too. Love goats. Oh and we're gonna need a really really big tent

Actually, you might be mistaken on that. I have a couple of pages (private member only pages) where people have had some very very excellent dialogue about some very interesting ideas, current events, etc.

Facebook may appeal to the lowest common denominator for some, but it also appeals to a huge cross section of society. To lump the majority of facebook users into a single category is...well..it's incorrect.

My facebook feed has been a rainbow of colour. Everyone has added a rainbow filter to their profile picture. It's a beautifully colourful show of support, pride, approval for this move of equality. Awesome.
Silly people, they think they're homosexual.

think they're homosexuals? Is that how it works?
They remind me of folks putting teddy bears and flowers on spots where kids were killed. Why not just donate that money to a worthwhile charity or get of yer own azz and do some good.

You don't like the doggie rainbow? :(

Again, I thought it was funny.

I am inherently very suspicious of things that are trending. Because I don't think people put a lot of thought into it. When I see things exploding on 'social media', I generally read it as rather superficial. That's not say people who use social media are incapable of being more than superficial. But the rapidness of 'viral', to me, suggest people simply latching on to something.

It's black and white here.

black and white here too

personally, I think she's so old now that her colour acuity isn't what it used to be and she just doesn't want to admit it.
