Harmless as long as you aren't the moose I guess. Anyway I guess there's A$$holes in every crowd!

It's not like there's a moose shortage in Canada had the thing died. If it did he might have save the life of some poor motorist. Anywho, it's not a big deal. tell me you never fried ants with a magnifying glass or got a laugh from some confused cat or hamster as youtube seems to be rife with.

To be clear......are you throwing stones because you're innocent of all animal harassment?

we are suppose to have a much more superior brain than 'all' animals, too bad there are some who actually

don't.

the fear in that animal being chased by that boat thru the water, especially when he couldn't swim,
had to bound thru the water, and it was very clear the stupid people don't seem to understand how
they are frightening a beautiful wild animal, for their own ignorant amusement.

and, no, in answer to your question of any of us, I have never tortured any animal, tiny or big,
but I do eat meat, just in case you throw in that catagorie of being mean to animals, slightly
different, as they are not tortured like a cat with a mouse, they are just quickly killed, and
if I did see how that was done, it might drive me to be a vegetarian, not sure.

I can sit out on my deck and generally nothing is trying to hunt me. That is because I live in a day and age when I sit at the apex of the food chain and anything dangerous to me is killed by me or my neighbours long before it becomes a threat. My ancestors weren't quite so lucky and a lot of killing of predators had to be done before we all got to the point where we could be comfortable enough to question the ethics of our survival.

So fine, here we are, top of the food chain and we now wish to bestow human ethics and values on animals. I think a reasonable case can be made for not deliberately mistreating animals and am certainly not advocating that we should but what is the difference between this guy jumping on a terrified moose and me climbing onto a terrified horse to break? The moose won't drown (that would pretty much be impossible as moose not only swim but also dive to eat vegetation on lake bottoms) and far more horses have died being broke than moose have being rode. If you've every rode then you've in your own way contributed to the same torture. The guy was an idiot because the moose could have killed him. But I wish it were me. I'd also like to try and ride a bear or a muskox for the record and would be pretty damn proud if I ever did. Next year I want to go to up to Tuk to run in a herd and hand wrestle down a caribou before I get too old and feeble, an Inuit tradition. Is that bad too?

As for eating animals let me tell you. When they go to the slaughter house they can smell the death for hours and are terrified. When I take out a cow or moose it comes as a complete surprise and they aren't even aware.

I think this is a waste of resources to find and prosecute the guy.

Hank Williams Sr. was much better.

Nothing wrong with killing a moose swiftly to eat it, but there's a lot wrong with being an A$$hole like the idiots in the video & causing it fear and gross discomfort. Anyway there is nothing to even argue about here. Spend whatever it takes to identify them, prosecute them and show them the error of their ways.

I think it takes a lot of balls to chase a moose out onto the lake and jump on it's back. I wouldn't do it personally just because you could be killed. I admire the bravery and guts that went into it though.

Yah right, they were too stupid to know what the hazards were - NOT one ounce of guts among them!

I would figure somebody with psychopathic tendencies, feels no remorse for killing would be at the top of the food chain, are you saying you're a psychopath.

Somebody who can kill or choke the life out of another person, and enjoys it.. figure that would be the apex predator.

I'd say some of those ISIS members would be apex predators. ;)

Ever been hunted by something not human? Stalked by a cougar for instance when you double back on your own trail and see it's tracks?. It's quite unnerving. I have no problems killing anything (or anyone) I think is a threat to me, my family (country) etc. You can call me a psychopath but I take a grown up view of the world into consideration.

If it's 'balls' you're after jump on the back of a grizzly bear while it's swimming across the river!

Yeah tormenting wildlife takes balls. Really something to be admired no question about it.

It's a goddamned moose. I doubt any any human in history ever hurt one with just his bare hands. Most of you hypocrites would think nothing of feeding a mountain goat or even pigeon and squirrels in a park which conservationists say is a form of harassment. How about whale watching? Apparently getting chased in boats by ecotourists is highly stressful. What about catch and release fishing, what the hell is that if not tormenting wildlife?

Humanity torments wildlife from building a highway and cutting an ecosystem in two to capture and release tagging or movement programs to sticking them in a zoo. Hell, if you own a cat and let it out on it's own by extension you are tormenting wildlife. You need to own up to your own shortcomings before you jump on the moral internet bandwagon and try and **** shame others.

Get yourself into a lather why not? No one was talking about all the other stuff you mention, just what an a$$holish trick molesting a moose is. Man is supposedly at the top of the animal chain but it looks to me your mentality is closer to the reptile level. :) :) Were you one of the louts in grade 6 that was bullying the grade 2s?
