You gotta learn to pay attention to what is going on around you. A year or so ago when oil was hitting $150 MF and many others from the east were claiming that the high CDN$$ was caused by high crude prices and that was causing the downfall of manufacturing in Ontario. Seems this is not the case as both oil and the $$ are down yet manufacturing still sucks. Guess they will have to find a new boogyman.

I am in manufacturing. I am a senior manager in manufacturing. have been in manufacturing for thirty years. There is some fluctuation (the cycles are old one) but I am busy all of the time. I've never been unemployed.

I pay attention to what is going on around me, not journalists at the other side of the country putting relkescopoes up to their eyes backwards, so that they can find yet another reason why they don't like Easterners or Ontario or whatever daily bugaboo is bugging them.

Lots of times when I was buying Gov't bonds through payroll deductions. At the time back in the 90s it was a good way to save money w/o noticing it too much.

I always loved it when you took your paycheck down to the ole bunk and they politely told all of us,,,,insufficient funds. Specially at Christmas time hehehe,,what a laugh had the boys rollin.
