And what methods of influencing policy would you consider "unfair?"

I'm sure the are plenty of examples out there of powerful people taking advantage of others.

Fraud, bad employers, cronyism, lobbying, despotism, that superpac stuff going on in the states... stuff like that.

I agree

They do have the power (en mass)... If that demographic decides (unwittingly) to not empower themselves politically, well that is their problem

Well that is precisely why there are political parties vying to spread out that power.

That democratic initiative is already underway in some places.

Fraud,
Agreed.

bad employers,
A little broad, without an understanding of what constitutes a "bad" employer.

cronyism,
Again, undefined term. Was JFK engaging in cronyism when he made RFK his Attorney General?

lobbying,
You don't want people to be able to meet with their representatives and try to persuade them?

despotism,
Meaningless term.

that superpac stuff going on in the states... stuff like that.
You don't think that people should be able to get together to express their joint opinions on the issues and the candidates?

Just to clarify, I am not stating this as some necessity.

Just generally speaking, we wouldn't want to be in a state that has a few people dictating the lives others.

For extreme examples you can point to communism or oligarchies.

In some cases the few leading the many may be appropriate, like looking out for religious minorities or certain judicial rulings, etc.

Make no mistake, the politicians and Parties are in it to amass and hold power in any way they can.. They have no specific interest in 'spreading' that power

Equality is impossible.

Until all people are completely equal, your comment is bang-on

Do the proletariat treat the bourgeois fairly? Do the proletariat treat each other fairly?
do you, because compared to the 1% you are proletariat and most within here are despite what they may think about their wealth accumulations or despite what they would like others to think their wealth accumulations are

that can never be, we aren't born on equal footing and never will be

Why should we care about anyone other than the working class and middle class in North America?
because the others hold the power over world movement

Anyone stronger or smarter will always have a leg up.
bingo

as well as those born to wealth

I'm pretty sure I never stated there should be absolute equality.

That might be just as harmful as having lopsided inequality.
