Do you ever wonder what color and gender God and Jesus are?
when I was a child God was just like my dad only older because no one could have loved me more or been more of my hero than my dad

Jesus looked exactly like the picture the nuns plastered on the board because that's what they said and I figured out quickly, go with the flow, they have the power

As a Gnostic Christian, I believe that God is within each of us the way Jesus taught so I see God and Jesus as my color.
As a 'now' non-Christian, I no longer think we are capable of comprehending how god or jesus look and it has become irrelevant...they are likley more like elements or swirls of energy and colour....or like nothing I am capable of imagining.
Is your mental picture of God and Jesus also seeing them as your color and gender?

DL
no...I believe in a higher power and I relate personally to that higher power, all that matters to this being is love, acceptance and how we perceive things...not much else matters unless you want to elevate yourself (which is our goal for existing) then it's about inner examination and self honesty and acceptance of self and others without judgement but also about better behaviour for self and towards others

No, FP, it's immaterial : )

Dearest Sister Motar,
How can you say that the colour of the invisible, imagined, or mythical is immaterial?
Surely you jest.

Cousin Spade,
if gawd is immaterial, it has no form or colour. Only a material thing can have form or colour.
So, I think, to some degree, you are both right.

wherever i sit down my ars
Considering from what part of the world "Jesus" is said to have come from I kinda had the feeling that he may have looked a little like Jim Croce the late folk singer. But who can possibly know.

If he is Arab he would be dark...

Thanks for the reply buddy.

I was just in a site that has a lot of dark skinned people and women in it and the consensus was that Jesus was a black skinned Ethiopian type. There are also a lot of dark skinned Jews. Black skinned in fact.

How can you be sure Jesus and the God usually shown as white is white?

Also, what do you make of this art depicting Jesus and others as black.

In the most popular fanfics, Gawd and Jeebus are pasty pink, Gawd with white hair and Jeebus with brownish blond, and they both got cocks they don't use except as a protective flap to keep dust outta their buttholes.

In reality, the question doesn't arise.

I had to give a + on this as I am still laughing.

I must be becoming depraved. LOL. I can't help myself. LOL.

I imagine Jesus was the color of the Jewish people of that time and era. His skin color makes no difference to me.

I do not care either but if Jesus was black, the blacks might wonder why we did not acknowledge that fact.

If I was black I would be some pissed.

Historic manipulation happens but that would be quite a reversal of history if true and would show how the West has been manipulated into believing lies?

Jesus wasn't a Jew but yeah, local.

Do you know what he was if not a Jew?

Yahweh (El), the national god of Israel, is male. He leads a pantheon of divinities (as Lord of hosts) to protect his people. His consort is Asherah, Queen of Heaven. Please try to keep up with semitic mythology.

Jesus? Gawd only knows!

PS
A young girl whose first name is Isis, the consort of Osiris and also known as the Queen of Heaven, has been asked by Facebook to change her moniker.

Elohim is translated as an androgynous God in this clip so I cannot agree with your word translation. Start it up at about the 9.5 min. mark if you like.

I have never wondered what colour Jesus or God's skin is. Just the idea someone would spend time thinking about this greatly disturbs me.

Sympathies for you.

I will let my black friend know and they will offer the same.

And the judgmental.

To answer the question - no. I dont believe in a god and even when I did I probably would have considered its gender/race irrelevant.

Not to be judgemental but I am willing to put money on the fact that you are likely white.

Nicely put.

You sound almost like a Gnostic Christian.

Try to go just a bit deeper within but even without doing so, you seem on the right path.
There could be something more you can do for yourself though.

Whatever color is needed so you automatically look at the ground and kneel down.

Jesus was sent to free us from religion and a God who needed us slaved to him, --- yet you would have us slaved to one.

Shame on you.

Just the one that can deliver on His promises of immortal life and eternal happiness.

The Kingdom of God is something that should take about 45 days to grasp as the Bible is limited in the information it contains. If you aren't the boss you are the slave, we are reading His book rather than Him reading our book.

Would you prefer the, 'My, what a big sword you have.?' opening line?

Hi Buddy.

Have you seen anywhere in scriptures where the loss of eternal life promised by the tree of life is bemoaned?

I never have and do not think the ancients were silly enough to believe in it and that is why it's loss is never spoken of.

I have seen references where all the tree of life is, is a tree of good life.

As to grasping the notion of the kingdom of God, Jesus said it was both within us and all around us but that most did not see it.

I see it. Don't you?

thanks for the links, they are fascinating I enjoyed the watch, both of them....I have been told before that I lean toward gnosticism...but then others think I am Wiccan, still others think I am Christian...I just think I am me. I use a spirit guide. Have done so since I acknowledged his presence probably 10 years ago but looking back believe I knew him as a child and then denied the presence because it was easier, more rational...what do you think of spirit guides. Do you believe in multiple lives?

God and Jesus are white. Any questions?
does your wife agree?

is this what you think is required or is this what you think god would require?
The names of people get entered into the book of life at conception, as best they can be shuffled around a bit but they can never be erased so once written in you will have a spot in the new earth.
Is God picky, about as much as any perfectionist. The terms are in the 7 letters, if you act a certain way He reacts to you a certain way. Shame and embarrassment is the same look we will all have when we first run into Christ, how much would that be magnified if it was God Himself?
Commonly called respect, when with somebody like that the words they say take on a 'matter of fact' kind of form where the usual arguments just disappear.
