No, we haven't. Most - or all - aircraft carriers operated by the Royal Navy have been types of aircraft carriers that have been designed by the Royal Navy.

Manned with US Aircraft, weapons systems and Canadian Navigation systems.

I don't know... maybe you want Canadian and US sailors to man the ship for you as well?

Come on CM do you know something about this ship that is wrong? or are you just trying to bug Blackleaf? Be great if it docked in Vancouver.

What is wrong is that the Brits haven't constructed any vessels like this in many years... Their capacity to captain them is another matter all together.

... That and I do it mostly to take pot-shots at Blackie... I think of it as my community service here at CC

No one else is going on about having a big bad navy except you.

Ironically, the nation with the biggest and best navy aren't crowing on about it

The best navy on the planet is the Royal Navy, and it has been for the last 250 years or so.

Of course you do, and you back up your fantasies with computer models of ships that will never ever exist

The US Navy is struggling to even control the Arctic, falling behind countries such as Russia in that region.

The US can wipe out any threat in the arctic at the push of a button, they don't need to send an actual vessel up there, especially to deal with Russia's circa cold war navy.

On that note, the US Navy could easily sail up the Thames and gut London before lunch and still make it back to the open ocean before afternoon cocktails

Until the mid-20th Century the Royal Navy ruled the waves in a way that no other navy has done since.

Last RN victory of any significance was Trafalgar.

The Battle of Jutland, 1916; the Battle of Taranto, 1940.

Didn't the Russian Navy sail right through the Channel

Not all of it.

And the Channel is the busiest shipping lane on the planet.

We have full control of ALL the oceans.

You're struggling to control the Arctic, and a report last year has said the US Navy needs massive investment in ships like icebreakers to catch up with Russia in that part of the world.

Except the USN that has ruled the waters of the Earth since WWII

The Battle of Jutland, 1916; the Battle of Taranto, 1940.

The US does it now and has since WW2

The Battle of Jutland, 1916; the Battle of Taranto, 1940.

.
The Germans won Jutland.

Taranto.... you beat the Italians! I'd be pretty hush if you are calling that a major victory.

You're struggling to control the Arctic, and a report last year has said the US Navy needs massive investment in ships like icebreakers to catch up with Russia in that part of the world.

All Oceans... all of them.

What is the armament on a Russian Icebreaker again?
