As long as the oil prices stay high but they are low and with more alternative fuel sources coming on to the market the demand for oil is getting lessIndeed it would. BC stands to make good money on exporting through it's ports. It's all part of the Liberal's Asia Pacific Gateway that Harper kept on developing since taking office. Prairie resources will keep feeding the ports for the next century or two.
It only took 125 years but Western Canada is finally getting what it needs.

At least Justin will bring back some sanity to the government and take questions from reporters at photo-ops something the federalConservatives only do at election time

Electricity, synthetic oil, bio-fuels and the list goes onAny thoughts on what those alt energy sources are?
Electricity, synthetic oil, bio-fuels and the list goes on
Will Justine be wearing those warm mittens and toques that were to go to the refugee camps during the interviews?
That IS the list.. Ain't too long is it?
check out Renewable Energy, forms and types of renewable energyThat IS the list.. Ain't too long is it?
A lot of those kids freeze to death. What do you have against giving them warm clothes?
Wind, solar, tidal, geothermal are just scribbling in the margins. Fission--we've probably only got enough fuel for 50-100 years. Fusion is perpetually ten years away. Hydro is good--where it's available. There are solutions, but none of them are as easy or cheap as oil, so we're just going to have to put with raising the temperature a couple of degrees. If it gets too bad we double-down on alternative energy sources and try to geo-engineer our way out of higher temps.
Is that before or after they were shot, raped and buried alive?
Any of this sinking in yet?... They have far bigger problems right in front of them that might be considered a wee bit more compelling
More compelling than dying? they are in the refugee camps, so they are out of harm's way for the moment as far as ISIS goes. Next up, their next needs are food and shelter. If you don't care about the refugees, why would you support the mission to start with?
Canada's efforts in the ME are directed at preventing these wholesale genocides from happening at all.
What Trudeau suggested shamed all Canadians, it was akin to offering someone with a slit jugular a bandaid to help stem the bleeding from a gushing wound
Well, in Trudeau's defence, I don't think there was an appreciation of genocide when he made those comments. I know, because I (like Trudeau) opposed the mission originally. Although my reasons were not as egalitarian as Trudeau's. Mine were more along the lines of "Mulsims killing Muslims? I fail to see the problem."
Once it became apparent that they were genocidally targetting the Yazidis and the Kurds and the Christians I reluctantly climbed on board.
When I was in Afghanistan I brought a bunch of soccer stuff over for the orphans. I set it up with the local padre at the base to deliver them (I wanted a snapshot for all the folks who donated back home). Anyways for vague reasons I couldn't go, and my stuff just sat there. I finally made some noise about it and the padre told me that the woman running the orphanage would take everything back and sell it for her personal gain the minute whitie left. They found out, because she'd even stolen the blankets frmo the kids and a couple of them froze to death one night. But, such is respect for life in that hellhole, that it still took two months of intense lobbying to get rid of her. She claimed she hadn't done anything wrong. Good times!
