Las Vegas police on Sunday were looking for a man suspected of shooting a mother of four to death outside her home in an alleged road rage incident.
Tammy Meyers, 44, died on Saturday night from a gunshot wound, family members said at a press conference outside a hospital where she was taken off life support two days after being shot.
The shooting late Thursday night was senseless, relatives said.
"There was no excuse, no reason and I hope to God they know we're looking and they will be caught," a cousin, Susan Ramos, said at the press conference also attended by Meyers' husband and at least one adult son.
Meyers was at the wheel after giving her daughter a driving lesson at a school parking lot when she had a near-collision with another vehicle, said the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in a news release.
There was a verbal confrontation between the two drivers, police said. When Meyers and her daughter returned home, they summoned help from a family member armed with a handgun, police said, after her car was apparently followed. Police provided no other details.
When the other vehicle arrived at the residence, shots were fired, and Meyers was struck, police said.
Police posted a video on its department website of the suspect's vehicle driving down a street and also released a composite sketch of the suspect, a white male about 25 years old. The vehicle may have bullet damage, police said.

I can't help the trolling. It's like having seizures.

Just hope they catch these idiot.. soon.

But if somebody is following you home, detour to the nearest Police Station, lay on the horn and call 911.
A detour to the police station is the preferred alternative. But if your back is to the wall a semiautomatic is your best friend.

Police said on Tuesday they were searching for at least one suspect in the fatal shooting of a woman in Las Vegas in an apparent road rage incident.
Tammy Meyers was shot in the head by the occupant of another vehicle after a near-collision that caused an argument on Thursday night, Las Vegas Police Lt. Ray Steiber said at a press conference.
The 44-year-old mother of four died two days later after being taken off life-support.
Meyers was driving home from her daughter's school where she had been giving the girl a driving lesson in the parking lot, when she was almost involved in a traffic accident with another car, police say.
She and her daughter then drove to their home a few miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip, and Meyers summoned her 22-year-old son, who was armed with a gun, to go out with her in search of the other car's occupant, Steiber said.
Meyers found the suspect and followed the car before heading home, Steiber said. The suspect then came to her street and opened fire as Meyers exited her car. Her son returned fire.
"I would never say that anybody went looking for trouble, but unfortunately I can't ask Tammy what was in her mind," Steiber said.
"At this point in time, Tammy is a victim," he added.
So far no suspects have been identified in the attack and authorities have been unable to issue a definitive description of the vehicle involved, saying only that it was believed to be a silver or grey four-door sedan with possible damage to the front end or bullet holes.
Meyers' husband has told the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper that there were three men in the suspect vehicle and that at least one of them threatened his wife after the near-collision.
The Review-Journal said family members described Meyers as a former nurse from California turned stay-at-home mother who had recently become a grandmother.

LAS VEGAS - A suspect in the road-rage killing of a Las Vegas mother of four was arrested on Thursday after police descended on a home not far from the scene of the shooting, law enforcement officials said.
A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department spokesman declined to identify the man taken into custody in connection with the shooting death of 44-year-old Tammy Meyers last week.
Meyers died on Saturday after being taken off life support at a Las Vegas hospital.
Officers had surrounded the home where the suspect was arrested earlier on Thursday, saying they were attempting in a "tactical phase" to take him into custody. Neighbors told CNN that officers were addressing someone named "Eric" through loudspeakers.
Las Vegas police declined to say if they believed the suspect they had arrested at the home was the person who opened fire on Meyers from a silver or gray four-door sedan. Witnesses have said that there may have been three people in that car at the time of the confrontation.
According to Las Vegas police Lieutenant Ray Steiber, who spoke to reporters at a news conference earlier this week, the incident began around 11:20 p.m. on Feb. 12 when the silver sedan sped alongside Meyers as she drove home after giving her 15-year-old daughter a driving lesson.
After Meyers' daughter reached over from the passenger side and honked at the speeding car, a suspect described by police as a white man in his 20s or early 30s got out and yelled at them, Steiber told the news conference.
Meyers sped away and drove home, where her daughter got out of the car and her son got in, carrying a loaded handgun, Steiber said.
Mother and son drove through the neighborhood in search of the other car and driver but, after failing to find them, returned home, only to have the suspect vehicle arrive and open fire on them, according to Steiber.
Meyers' son returned fire, Steiber said, and discovered his mother had been shot as the suspect vehicle fled.
Police released a composite sketch of the man who confronted Meyers and her daughter. Neighbors told CNN that the man taken into custody did not appear to match that drawing.
