And now for the bad news, the original sin was via the serpent, he lied and he killed on that fateful day. I didn't realize that would be news to anybody, let alone a group. Luckily the Bible is the only wisdom you are missing, . . . right?

not gawd...people. It's the excuse people use to torture and abuse babies. Gawd doesn't do anything but maybe appear in a piece of fruit or toast here and there...
Be interesting what happens if they ate it instead of putting it on the mantle for generations to come.

Perhaps the world is the way it is because stings as easy to understand as the verse below is taken to mean anything but what the words actually say.

Joh:8:44:
Ye are of your father the devil,
and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie,
he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar,
and the father of it.

You heard of the money-changers being tossed out of the temple twice by Jesus, what isn't included is the same money-changers were part of the reason God exiled them to Babylon. The corrupt banking practices never got fixed so while the Jewish bankers can be all hot about them being 'qualified' it is true, unfortunately it is also against the same religion they say they belong too. If that makes Gentiles a bit stupid what does it say about the Jews who let a corrupt practice operate using their name? I can assure you it doesn't work out to their advantage, in the past or in the future.

Since the myths surrounding David has his having 700 wives of royal birth and 300 concubines, David's affair with Bathsheba certainly put him over the top (i.e., the deadly sin of greed).

"The Lord sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, 'There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.

Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him. David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, 'As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this must die! He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity.'

Then Nathan said to David, 'You are the man!" (2 Samuel 12:1-7 NIV)

Did David share his wives and concubines with travellers, Sister? The true test of generosity.

Now I truly resent my father being called "The Devil" and he was faithful husband for all my parents' marriage. He never murdered anyone and was truthful. I don't know who Biblical John was supposed to be chatting up, but if he tried that tactic today, he would probably be sued for defamation of character.

As a species, humans are evolving from that tribal state and no longer believe in magic, and are developing reasoning skills. These will eventually be the demise of many harmful beliefs; if we manage to survive long enough, that is.

A quote I could not fine a source for says it all for me. " Philosophy is the mother of science and Religion the mother of politics. " One goes for imagination and investigation, the other for control and threats, in my opinion.

So, I would give those long ago politicians high marks. They set the tone for religion which unfortunately still hangs on today.

Do what you must, since I use a particular edition the one you want to look up is the Queen of England as she is the copyright holder. Biblical John was also a woman, a Disciple of John the Baptist, her Lawyer is Christ, the Judge of mankind. I don't expect any headlines on the verdict anytime soon.

Science still teaches the big bang is true but controlled demolition on 9/11 is false. Global warming come with more ice. Take away their funding (from anything) and it breaks, so what hobbies will still make bigger strides in things society really finds important.
Theology is not based in fact, it is probability based, so far the probability factor has been losing and the trend to have rigid rules that cannot easily be updated is more hindrance than help. Like most of the 'old ways'. Religion and politics are the magicians hands so while one has your attention the other is straling something from somebody, most often it's you.

Without them taking the fall your 'usual ways' would be fount revolting by a sane and informed population.

Who the heck cares if John was a woman, or whichever version of the Bible it is taken from!! It is a terrible fictional book that smart con artists have managed to convince the gullible is not only possible but true!!

As for the big bang........you can google pictures taken soon after the big bang........time can show so much!! LOL. Imagine being able to go back in time with a telescope and actually see the spewing out of debris from a cosmic explosion. Thing is you can.
