Well since Obama really didn't do much for illegal immigrants it affects me very little. But he sure pulled the wool over your eyes to think he really did something. It's status quo...and he just shut up the Latino Voters.

I know some of the critics of this action call it amnesty. Well, it’s not. Amnesty is the immigration system we have today—millions of people who live here without paying their taxes or playing by the rules, while politicians use the issue to scare people and whip up votes at election time.

Illegal immigration is a game in which there are several participants. The initial gamester are the several thousand families who constitute Mexico's political and economic elite. The Mexican elite have established an economic and political system in which they control the country's wealth. Their primary interest is in maintenance of the status quo. Part of maintaining the status quo in Mexico is to ensure that impoverished and ignorant Mestizos have the option of moving north in order to alleviate their poverty. In that sense illegal immigration acts as a safety valve permitting the Mexican economic/political system to let off steam to prevent a social explosion. The interests of the Mexican elite coincide with the interests of the Americans Left and Big Business/Country Club Republicans. The losers are the members of the American working class.
That's probably true for the Big Business/Country Club faction of the Republican Party. The Republican base is losing faith in the party and the country.

Ex-car wash chain owner gets 1 year in prison
The former owner of a metro Phoenix car wash chain was sentenced to one year in prison and another year of home confinement for his acknowledged role in a scheme to hire hundreds of workers who weren't in the country legally.
Authorities say Daniel Lewis Hendon, the former owner of Danny's Family Car Wash, broke the law by rehiring workers who were fired after a federal audit found nearly half of the company's 1,900-person workforce had presented insufficient or ineligible records when they were hired. Thirteen other managers admitted participation in the scheme, and most were sentenced to a few months in prison.
"You led your team into committing these crimes," U.S. District Judge Neil Wake said.
The judge said the government had already given Hendon a second chance after the audit, but the business owner went on to continue exploiting cheaper foreign labor that undercuts poor, unskilled workers. The sentence was less than the 18-month prison sentence and 19-month home confinement sought by prosecutors.
In pleading guilty to a conspiracy charge, Hendon admitted he turned a blind eye toward his business' hiring of immigrants who weren't in the country illegally. Hendon, who has since divested himself of the car wash business, also agreed to forfeit $156,000 seized from the accounts of his businesses.
Hendon sobbed his way through his comments to the judge. He said he was sorry and wasn't offering any excuses for his actions. "What I did was wrong," Hendon said. "I have to pay for the consequences for it."
Prosecutor Dominic Lanza said prison time was necessarily because of the wide scope of the scheme.
"Danny's Car Wash didn't play by the rules," Lanza said.

Right about the time the USA decided to get involved in Mexican politics and helped get Carlos Salinas de Gortari elected as President, and he bankrupt Mexico and stole most of the countries wealth a ran off to France.
He managed to also devalue the Peso and create mass unemployment.. with that a mass flow of illegals to the USA from Mexico.
Sorta the same BS did in Haiti with President Jean-Bertrand Aristide who stole the people money..
