He should be out. Manson never hurt anybody.
it is mind blowing that he actually never stepped foot inside of the house, he was a master manipulator...he escaped the death penalty only because of the state change in execution right?

he is a fascinating individual, I kind of remember the trial being quite circus like

Federal change actually. The US supreme court abolished capital punishment altogether for about 8 years. When it came back they could not retry and re-sentence him or anyone else who had a death sentence before it was temporarily abolished. Same thing happened to the guy who killed RFK.

So, you're saying he should have been a politician?

He would have been good at it I imagine.

Evidently, she is writing a book about him and needs the extra publicity and access to court records to market it.

Manson turned 80 on November 12th. I think she's marrying him for his money... trade marks, memorabilia, post mortem publishings. I don't think culprits are allowed to profit from their crimes.. but spouses.. no problem.

A brief reading of the article in the OP would lead any sane and reasonably intelligent person to the conclusion that she ain't got her stick on the ice (that's Canadian talk).

But don't let that stop you from straining for some other explanation.

Her oar is not in the water.

In the interview she is smitten with him, naturally. He is an old man who understands the human mind and how to manipulate others mentally and emotionally to attain a desired end. He has an agenda. Who knows what but I would place odds that his does. Funnily enough his agenda will be his weak link but she is too young and inexperienced at life to understand that process.

Perhaps she too has an agenda and if she does, unless her IQ is over the top he will know her agenda and once a person knows that, the chances of beating them are slim. My bets would be on him as the winner in a contest of wits and outcomes.

She is most likely the victim here and he will have chosen her very carefully.
