You never know when an old thread will pop up again. Could be next year, or five years, hell maybe even ten if the site is still around.

All those miserable Lefties who just can't stand seeing lots of poppies and patriotism and admiration for our troops, like the guy in the OP and that ludicrous Grauniad journalist, will soon be forgotten about. The guy in the OP and his protestation will long be forgotten about this time next year when we wear our poppies with pride again, but the troops who gave their lives for our freedom will NEVER be forgotten. The whingeing Left will, but the troops will never be.

Wrong. They come back, changed and in Canada with the New Veterans Charter they are discarded as a financial burden.
