a must-read for every entitlement-prog and crybaby out there. even the children can see through their retarded claims.

I’m a diehard, bleeding-heart liberal. And it’s ruining my parenting.

My intentions are good. I want my two daughters, 6, to think critically, to fight for fairness and justice whenever they can. I want them to value equality above all else. But sometimes, I also need them to do what I say. This contradiction is hard to explain.

Take a recent incident, involving some candy. I’d given each girl the same number of gumballs. But one of my daughters lost some. She then implored me for extra. “Now I have less and that’s not fair,” she moaned.

“But they’re my candy! It’s not my fault we lost some of hers!” the other one replied.

My solution — to put all the gumballs together in one bowl and split them equally — was unacceptable to both. All afternoon, they threw tantrums, slammed doors, or tried to slyly outwit me, crumbling when I didn’t fall for it.

My hat's off to the liberal minded mum and dad that will endure that kind of treatment by the wee ones.... Is the rum for the kid or the sodomized parent?

far as I can tell, alcomuhol is used to sterilize the uh, instrument.

If you are raised by a conservative you will be a perfect parent. It's just that easy and obvious.

That's a great idea. The one obviously had a surplus of candies if she was sloppy in accounting for them. If you can't keep track of your riches, you'll never miss forfeiting a few to give away.

We haven't even introduced the next step which is explaining the 'gumball administrative fee'.

It'll be a few years before those kids realize that the 'administrators' create winners and losers and make out like bandits on each and every exchange.

... Or... You could tell the child that lost the candy that it was a tax for the good of the family and then reward the daughter that didn't lose any the number of candies that the first girl lost.

No you would tax both girls. But the one who has more gumballs is in a higher bracket so should give more. Then you eat the gumballs. That is Revenue Canada's approach.

If she hangs onto her gumballs to pass on to her children, they can nail her kids and pass the spoils to their cousins who never even heard of one of their mom's long since chewed gum balls.

Really interesting point... Wonder if there is a benefit in fractional gumball ownership via a Ltd. structure.... The Ltd pays the min gumball taxes thereby minimizing the overall admin fees?

... Maybe we ought to contact the 2 daughters and offer some representation... There may be some retroactive candy bennies once a confection audit is completed

As one commentator says,

Oh for heavens sake, one's parenting skills have nothing to do with your political party. Can we talk about anything these days without it being linked to politics! Uggggggggg.

So true!
