First, how does that answer my question? It doesn't. Try again.
Second, I have NEVER stated that an "embryo" is "ensouled" or "has a soul" or even mentioned anything about "souls" when discussing the murder of unborn children through abortion.
Third, yes I believe that it is a "human" at conception. At that time, there is everything that is needed for a new and unique human being. This has nothing to do with "religion" and everything to do with science. That "piece of tissue" will not grow to be a dog, or cat, or mouse, or anything else aside from a human being.
Now, here is my question again, try to stay on track and answer it.
Oh boy, you sure do not like being faced with the implications of what you say. So, you believe in life at conception, the reason being??
Sure the union of human sperm and egg will produce a human, IF allowed to develop. The key word being IF, so, what is the objection to interrupting the development of a being that will NOT be made to feel special and may cause hardship to humans already formed and living??
We are a placental mammal, like about 400 other species. Whales, elephants are included as well as dogs, cats and farm animals such as sheep, cattle & horses. All this group is conceived, developed and are birthed in the same manner as humans. The largest species in this group by the way, are rodents and bats
.
Reason and facts indicate then, humans are no more special than those other species, except to ourselves!! If you think we feel any different towards those we give birth to than a mouse or a cow, you are wrong. But that bond does not form until birth.., Except, if it is an unwanted. If the mother is unhealthy or too young, then the bond often does not form. . If you know animals at all, they will fight for their young, protect them from predators etc. if the mother is healthy and able to care for it. However, if an animal gives birth to one that is not wanted, depending on the species, they will eat the young at birth, or walk away and leave it to starve Humanity has a better solution to the problem.
.
If one feels it is "sinful" or wrong, then one must realize that is their BELIEF. and leave it in the hands of whatever universal being exists
The definition of soul, from Websters Dictionary "Spiritual part of a person that is BELIEVED to give life to the body & many religions also believed to live forever in other words : "immortal"
Did you know the idea of soul comes from the Greeks?? Christian theology adopted the Greek concept of an immortal soul, ADDING the notion that GOD created the soul and infused it into the body @ conception.
Hinduism says soul or Atman was created at the beginning of time & imprisoned in the earthly body. At death the soul is said to pass to a new body according to the laws of Karma.
With such facts, why think the implications of what one posts and/or leaves out is lost on the normally intelligent reader?
If one does not believe in ensoulment but merely in our humanity, we are as all the other mammals, nothing special except to ourselves. On the other hand if we believe we are somewhat special, then one is likely influenced by a theology view.

I've raised that point several times on the forum to no avail. They know the "bottom line" where they want to end up and that little pertinent fact won't get them to where they want to go. As far as I'm concerned they are not going to change so let them think what they want.
LOL Evolution of the species. Believe it or not......all species began in the muck at the beginning of the formation of the planet. As time went on, different conditions caused mutations which after millions of years became different species which also split into relatives....like apes and humans.
Scientists have even found that everything that forms a person right down to preferences in all things exists in many of the body organs. When scientists can grow a human ear on the back of a rodent indicates the species are not all that far apart.
You might try researching answers to your questions. Most people know only the basics of how the world began, or life developed on it. That's all you get from someone like me.
