Three states had universal health care when Obamacare was passed. Half a dozen more had legislation pending, and shelved it when Obamacare passed. At least four different models, including single-payer. The health-care "crisis" was being addressed.
Then we pre-empted the solutions with one, massive, guaranteed profit for the medical/insurance complex, the other MIC.
Don't get me wrong, single payer was the way to go.
Cons stopped that and so did the Dumbocrats....all tied to corporate money.
The current deal is still better than what Americans had before.

Hawaii had universal health care for 30 years. Massachusetts had Romneycare. New York had single-payer legislation drafted. Wisconsin did a survey of health-care resources and decided the cheapest and easiest solution for them was to flat-out buy insurance, at state expense, for those who couldn't afford it.
Solutions were popping up everywhere. Then the wrecking ball of Obamacare came in and guaranteed forced insurance purchases, was never even designed to provide universal coverage, and gave the medical and insurance industries incentives to jack up costs.

Those are examples. There were others. Health care was going like gay marriage, snowballing.
You realise Obamacare was designed to leave approximately 8% of the population out in the cold?
For somebody who claims Obamacare has problems, you sure ain't listening to the alternatives. Think I'll follow Eagle and not do any more of your research for you. Don't see how it's making a difference.
Yep 4 States.....one had something for thirty years, one had Obama/Romney/Dole care, one had a single payer system and one had something written on paper.

I don't like Obama care at all, it's a gift to insurance companies I would prefer a single payer system.....but it's still better that what was going on before...and like any law...things change....this is just the beginning.
