You'd think the driver would have seen the kid but you know, sometimes we are distracted for a second and these things happen. I'm sure the kid will have some cuts and bruises to show for it. An SUV usually has a bit more road clearance and that would have helped.

There is all kinds of things wrong in this video
You can see the child is injured by the way he's holding his back as he crosses to the other side of the street.
What's he doing playing (sitting) on the road? Don't we tell children to not play on the road because of cars?
The driver is clearly not paying attention or he's done it intentionally...
