They dovetail services with public healthcare. Many of the diagnostics are paid by Proncial plans.

Using Private is not much of an excuse. The Province (public) pays for a lot of upfront investigation. Then, when the taxpayer is about to the rest out of their own pocket theyre told they have no say? Nonsense.

My mistake. The Canadian Human Rights Act only applies to federal jurisdiction. Health care is provincial.

Putting aside the implication that others are making about this being against the law, why would you defend such a stupid policy solely because it could be lawful?

Does this act include churches?

There are exemptions (in the federal and Albertan acts) but they do not explicitly exclude churches. Churches that provide services to people could not discriminate on the basis of race, religion etc. But all businesses can argue an exemption based on certain criteria and a church would probably succeed in arguing that, for example, they should be allowed to discriminate based on religion when hiring church officials or whatever.

You are denied a service based specifically on decisions relating to your race and the race of the donor.

Your tax dollars will always be involved because some of the investigative procedures are available whether or not ivf treatments are going to be used. Urologists and obgyns aren't only here to tee up ivf cycles.

At some point there should be a discount rate, say like during a plague.
Every parent that wants to abort should have the option of allowing somebody who wants the child to survive to pay all the bills so that can happen. Room and board is as high as the wages go and adoption doesn't count. Lets see if any protesters put down their signs.
