we called 'em 'hooded things' when I was a kid.

We called them Bunny-Hug's back when we only had three TV channels (one
being in French & another being the CBC). Once cable TV came along...the
name morphed to the American term of Hoodie over time.
my time they were called Kangaroo Jackets... likely because of the front pouch...I love those jackets...have one in every colour

Yep, and some day in saskatchewan you'll be able to order a beer &
see a peeler in the same room....
Unlike Alberta where you just grab a beer and order a hooker. The rest of the story probably wouldn't qualify as a children's book unless Davey Crocket is sitting in that class.

What do you mean by bleeding borders?
when someone posts a video from YouTube, before you paste it in here you have to delete the "s" in the http"s"...it messes with the thread and it begins to bleed out the bottom of the page Loc hates that...he also hates the term 'viral' so don't forget to remove the "s" before posting any viral videos...

and use the term viral as much as possible.. :D multiple times per thread when possible.

Kangaroo or bunny hug?
I had never heard the term bunny hug until today...so mine was a kangaroo jacket, I don't think many really had zips back in the day

now everything is just a hoodie, pull on or zip in my area

In Sask somebody should be able to say, 'I can Manitoba from my front porch' and still be a long ways away. In Alberta we stand on things called hills and next horizon if we want to look around the general area.

Looking back over the thread, I noticed the comment about the oil and agriculture industries in Lloyd (I guess I should get used to calling it that). The father of the main characters is employed in the oil industry, and a "haunted," abandoned farm house a bit outside of town will play a significant role in the story.

Kick open more marketing doors and add a Native angle. Spooky abandoned farms are common up by Onion Lake Rez

Do you know why it's windy in Saskatchewan?

Manitoba sucks and Alberta blows.

This is why dogs are BIG in Saskatchewan. They don't get blown over. Takes two men and a boy just to walk them.
