And a disassembled economy, one that lacks a fully integrated industrial base.. will in the long term work to diminishment of trade and the impoverishment of all (except a few grotesquely rich traders and bankers).

This type of nationalism is NOT isolationist.. despite attempts of the forces of Free Trade to characterise it as such. It is much in favour of fair and rationally supervised trade for all.. which is the only sustainable model that will not create world wide economic chaos and conflict. That is the path we are on now.
