it was a silly question in response to a silly post to which I was given an equally silly answer

I don't make silly posts. I never do. All my posts are simple commonsense and the opinions of the ordinary man on the street.

Perhaps the Queen can donate some portion of her multi-billion dollar estate and holdings to the cause. Otherwise, she is just like most lip service politicians who talk about all they will do (with other peoples money) and do little.

Why? Doesn't she do enough for charity already?

That's the problem nowadays. Back in the Seventies and Eighties helping the less well off meant putting a coin in the slot of that statue girl with a big shoe that was always found in town centres outside a shop. A 2p coin woud have sufficed.

Nowadays people aren't content unless you are handing over billions of quid and half your estate to charity.
