either one of these. The vote will be fairly close but I know for sure it will be yes and it is already decided before anyone even votes. Putin, aka Russia, still has not acknowledged that they have any troops there which would make it an invasion of a foreign country thus making a "free" vote redundant.

Russia has not invaded Crimea. It already had troops there. They're allowed to be there.

The agreement was for naval bases to operate out of Crimea which the former government of Ukraine cancelled then Yanukovitch reversed and signed a new deal right after he was elected. And according to Russia those are "NOT" Russian troops.

So those troops are allowed to be there, then.

And according to Russia those are "NOT" Russian troops.

You failed to watch the Putin interview I posted, the 'masked gunmen' appear to be just as fully trained as Russian 'Commandoes' who were not on the ground very long, by the time the announcement was made those combat troops were back in Russia and the 'masked Gunmen' were Crimean citizens from the ranks of the Ukrainian Military that had defected and were willing to swear an oath to Crimea rather than to the Ukraine.

Depends on how you view allowed to be there.

I did not "fail" to see that and you again assume Putin is the only side to the story and of course we here being so oppressed in Canada should listen to him with bated breath as he is the worlds saviour and totally credible
Did I miss anything ?

Crimea is not the world except in your paranoid delusions.
A few posts ago you denied that Russia admitted they were Russian troops

Again I ask that you get your facts , quotes and replies straight before answering as you seem to be having problems focusing on the truth and facts....all the facts which , if you had been reading , I have been asking you to do all along.

Some are, that's for sure.

The rest of the place is probably like anywhere else.

Crimea referendum on joining Russia

Ukraine crisis: PM rejects Crimea referendum on joining Russia - World - CBC News

I bet Quebec is looking closely at these developments.

That would be the equivalent of Canadian troops storming the Quebec-Gatineau corridor of a sovereign Quebec and forcing a referendum there to join Canada.

The far north of Quebec comes to mind too.

The agreement was for naval bases to operate out of Crimea which the former government of Ukraine cancelled then Yanukovitch reversed and signed a new deal right after he was elected. And according to Russia those are "NOT" Russian troops.

But now how do you define 'Russian'? If by nationality, maybe not. But if by ethnicity, then whatever their citizenship, they're probably Russian at least by ethnicity for the msot part.

Not to mention that they're probably being aided and encouraged by Russian troops.
