Personally, partisan 'he started it' politics make me disrespect the parties engaging in it, and even when people I dislike or disagree with die, I shut my damn mouth, but, I also wouldn't wade into this thread feigning shock or surprise that people have carried the message of the OP forward.

Meh, I guess I was a bit more of an optimist. I really didn't think that people would stoop to this level to launch a political attack.

Actually you are quite full of sh!t. If Ford were to drop dead tomorrow or his family were to suffer a loss you would most assuredly carry on your obsessive and creepy (bordering on stalkerdom) ranting.

Lol, you do realize that other than like one thread, it has always been other people bringing this guy up. If you are so offended by the mention of him, why don't you go after the people who actually bring him up, and not just the person who disagrees with your point of view?

Ford's situation is treated differently because it is a different situation. For one thing, he holds a very powerful public position. He has been shown to have very serious problems that call his ability to do his job into question, yet he refuses to admit that he has a problem and refuses to get appropriate help. People are naturally interested in finding out exactly how deep these problems go and what they could mean for the City of Toronto.

So ya, after everything that Ford has put the city through recently, if his wife was found dead, there would be a hell of a lot more questions.

In this case, Smitherman and Peloso are private citizens who have had problems, but have freely admitted them and sought the appropriate help. What real reason would there be to dig into it more than that?

These are the kind of responses that make it hard to do anything but call you an idiot.

What can I say if you can't even attempt to defend how these situation would be the same. If you just state your opinion and say everyone else is stupid if they don't agree with you, that isn't really a conversation.

If the mayor of your city is found to have personal problems with drugs, alcohol, and gangs, and then one day his wife turns up dead unexpectedly, you wouldn't naturally have questions about that?

If a private citizens is known to be struggling with a severe mental illness and then one day he kills himself, what more do you really need to know?

What about them?

Apparently you can't form complete thoughts, so I guess it must be fun to see how it is done.
yeah right. no real reason there to delve any further into it.

now you're the one who's stupid.

If you can't actually put your thoughts into words, don't go calling other people stupid.

What exactly do you mean "what about the children"? In what way have they treated this case differently than any other similar case involving someone who happens to be a parent?

what I consider is that you like the sound of your fingers clicking away on a keyboard.

I leave it to the court of public opinion.

Yet you keep posting about absolutely nothing.........

Were you trying to do a Helen Lovejoy impersonation?

Wouldn't it be nice if at least one of your last four posts had anything to do with this topic?
