I heard Booth's name three (3) times this game-better than last game when I heard it once-how long do you give a guy like that 6 games-a dozen?
Impressed by the effort shown by other second & third line players if they keep playing hard it will pay off.

I more or less watched the last half of the game, I'd say the Stars edged them in play, but by very little. What can a team do against an air tight goalie?
yes, I thought he played better tonight too, last game I thought he was very slow and sluggish.
if he could only keep playing, and play a lot, cause he is a great skater, but definitely has
lost a step over the past two years. too many injuries and too many lost games, so I wonder if
he will ever regain that speed and strength, we'll see I guess, but if he doesn't steadily improve
he won't get the chance.
canucks outshot the stars by a lot, that puck was shot at their goal so many times, without going in
couldn't believe that many shots could go his way, and never go in the goal, then when they did score
one, the ref. made a phantom call against daniel, didn't allow the goal, and daniel did 'nothing' to
the goalie, so one of their two goals was disallowed. thought torterella was going to burst a vessel,
but I don't blame him for being hot.
didn't like luongo on their second goal, he looked slow getting across, and fell forward on the shot.
he sometimes does that, just think he does not have the flexability in his legs that some goalies
have for going from 'post to post', which hampers him at times, otherwise he was fine, but in a
game like this where goals don't come easy, that hurts them.
no goalie would have saved the stars first goal.
stars goalie was very sharp.
kesler had an excellent game, and hanson's first game back, he looked very good, good to see him
play again, forgot how valuable he is to the team.

I hope they vote in 'challenges', at least two for the coach, they are talking about it, but nothing

that mistake tonight could have cost the canucks the game, as the game would have been tied, then
overtime, and who knows, at least a point.
many times the 'scoring chances' are a more accurate account of how a team played,
than 'shots on goal'.
In the last 6 games the Canucks have scored 13 goals. In those six games, the Canucks scored 10 goals in the first 3 games and one goal in each of the last 3 games. Is this a big enough sample to indicate a trend? In the last three games the Canucks scored only 3 goals but just as important, they allowed 10 goals against. Maybe Kreskin is right, maybe they'll stuff in a half dozen goals in the next game........Do wonders for their confidence......
These trends aren't rare, right now 4 teams of the 30 are on a streak one way or the other of at least 4 games. It wasn't that long ago that Vancouver was on a 10 game winning streak. You have to take the bad with the good. A lot times the whole difference is just a lucky or unlucky puck bounce
you're seeing the game from a good place, it is what you say, those bounces are a big part of the game.
just think in the last two games for canucks, 'if' they had 2 or 3 lucky bounces instead of 'what' they
did have, and the chat about the team right now would be much different.
they have had games this season where the bounces went 'their' way.
most often 'that' puck could go anywhere once it hits 'something or someone', no one has any control over
that outcome most of the time. most goals are not scored 'clean' right from someone's stick from a
great play all the way up the ice, those are nice, but not the majority.

florida came to play right from the drop of the puck, unfortunately canucks didn't wake up and realize
a game was actually under way until the second period, nice of them to spot florida one whole period,
but that also caused them 'again', to come up short.
they didn't dominate the game with umteen shots as they have been recently, and they did look good
thru the second period, but not so much in the third.
florida have been playing good hockey of late, beating a couple of prominent teams.
luongo did remember to start the game from the beginning, lucky for his teamates.
canucks played one poor period one good period, and 1 mediocre, i guess one could say that one point
for that kind of play is more than one could expect.

up to my neck in nhl games, usually watch at least one every night, don't always sit
and watch, but I can listen while I do other things, or have a little cat nap with
the puppy during the game. lol

"It was easily our worst game of the year. We didn't deserve a point. I just don't know what we're thinking as far as how we started the game," Tortorella said. "If it isn't for [Roberto Luongo], we are down, 3-0, 4-0. I can't explain it."
Luongo allowed the lone shootout goal to Jonathan Huberdeau on the Panthers' first attempt. The Canucks are now 1-3 in the tiebreaker this season.
"I gotta make a save on the first one there. I knew that was one of his moves and I ended up biting anyway, so I've got to do better than that," Luongo said
Who's hot: RJ Umberger has recorded a point in three of the past four games (two goals, one assist) for the Blue Jackets. … Luongo is 0-1-2 during the homestand but has allowed two goals in each game and posted a .933 save percentage.

they play against chicago tomorrow, 'that' is the test for me, if they can rise to the
occasion as they did when they went to san jose, and also 'how' they played against san jose at home,(even
though they lost, they played very well,
then I will see a bit of light, but at this point I see them same as I did early on, a middle of the
road team, and in this division very unlikely to make the playoffs, as this division is 'so' tough
some teams who are playing well 'won't get in, thems the breaks, but I like it that way, if a team
is going to get in the playoffs, play well, don't sneak in with a poor showing as some teams will
in the east who don't have a very good season, but squeak in.
