Speaking of uniforms it was great to see the Bombers wearing the best jerseys in their franchise history. It's too bad that the rush to make merchandise money got them wearing some other garbage. Now it's time for Riders to get out of those white bathrobes and back into traditional uniforms.

Honestly, Kreskin..........I didn't even notice the unis yesterday.........too busy watching our QB get slammed to the turf, play after play. As for our uniforms, they are the least of our worries after yesterday's fiasco.

When all else fails; Blitz, shotgun, blitz, blitz, blitz shotgun, blitz.

While the Riders were doing their best to help the Bombers with a win yesterday, someone hacked the Saskfan forum - not a good day at all for Riderville.

Being a Rider fan is no easy business and the latest news out of Regina just makes me sick. Three Sask players have been charged with assault following a brawl at a bar in Regina. Dwight Anderson, Taj Smith and Eron Riley have all been charged now. Their next court date is Oct 8th. Whether we will see them on the field again or not is the question of the day. In addition, Rey Williams will be out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL suffered in the Banjo Bowl. I am one unhappy camper right now.

Have been under the weather for a few days so I have not done my usual around the league updates on players. I do know that Buck Pierce is back in BC - much luck to you Buck - will be interesting to see in what capacity the Lions will be using you.

Also, Simeon Rottier will not be bench-sitting for the rest of the season and Esks fans will see him back in action on Saturday when they play Winnipeg.

Friday Sept 13 - Hamilton at Calgary 6PM PST/9PM EST
Saturday – Winnipeg at Edmonton 3:30 PM PST/ 6:30 PM EST
Saturday – Toronto at Saskatchewan 6:30 PM PST/ 9:30 PM EST
Sunday – Montreal at BC 1:30 PM PST/ 4:30 PM EST

Apparently the kid called them "niggas". I wonder if he'll ever do that again?

I've been reading everything from Somalia gangbangers, to druggies, to one of the guys chatting up a girl friend. Will just have to wait until the court case and see what comes out then.

In other news, the Cats gave the game away in the 4th Q last night after playing well for the first 3. Hank went over the 50,000 yard mark only to make another stupid decision to throw into heavy coverage and see his pass intercepted - he's going to have Kent on the edge of heart-attack one of these days. CJ Gable is continuing to show what a great player he is - on his TD, he carried the entire pile over five yards for the end zone TD - phenomenal effort by the little guy. Andy had a simply outstanding flying catch for huge yards. Ellingson also had a good night. Too bad the O wasn't as good the D for Hamilton last night or they might have taken the game.

Jon Cornish hit his 1000 yard mark last night and also garnered a penalty for unsportsman-like conduct. One of these days Jon will grow up.

Bo had a good not great night. Mo Price had some nifty catches. The Stamps STs were solid all night.

Getting ready to watch the Winnipeg vs Edmonton game. I'll be on the side of the Esks tonight - they really need to win this one.

I soo love Mike Reilly. This guy just gets better and better. Leads all other QBs in rushing yards and has piled up a bunch so far.

Eskies are leading 24 to 3 at half-time and the way Winnipeg is playing that score could easily double before the end of the game, unless Burke and Co can come up with some answers for both the O and the D of Edmonton. I agree with Schultzie - the Bombers are flat.

Freddie Stamps has 2 TDs so far. Hugh O'Neil was good on his FG. Adarius Bowman has a TD.

Winnipeg has a FG to their credit.

GO ESKIMOS, GO! ROCK ON REILLY AND COMPANY!

Another game which shows why CFL is a darn good game.

Very glad to see there is talk of league expansion. Be nice if Syracuse could have a franchise since there are many Canadians in the area and because they like an uptempo game there.

That was a good game, Argos were running on all cylinders.

The game of the week is tomorrow with BC at Saskatchewan.

If BC wins they are tied in second with SK, if SK wins they are tied in first with Calgary.

Unfortunately I had to pass up going to the game to finish harvesting.

Go Riders!

In this game I don't think BC will be much competition for the Riders.

didn't see all of the game, but definitely saw that exciting ending, never say die. I'm impressed
with DeMarco, nice to see that they aren't a 'one' quarterback team, I would trust him in any game.

He has a helluva good arm. He started out good, then was flat the rest of the first half. But played strong in the third and was pretty clutch in the end.

Simon tied Cahoon for the record. He'll likely break it in Montreal next week.

Week 14 CFL Game Schedule

Friday: BC at Winnipeg 5 PM PST/ 8 PM EST
Saturday: Calgary at Hamilton 3 PM PST/ 6 PM EST
Saturday: TO at Edmonton 6 PM PST/ 9 PM EST
Sunday: Sask at Mon 10 AM PST/ 1 PM EST

Around the League this week

Sask – Kory Sheets will remain on the injured list for Sunday’s game against the Als. There is an outside chance that OL Ben Heenan could be back in the line-up for the game – he took some reps during practice this week though Dan Clark did take the majority. Devin Tyler will remain at RT, Weldon Brown and Carlos Thomas didn’t practice but Diamond Ferri and Ejiro Kuale were at LB positions and Eddie Russ will remain at DB.

Winnipeg – QB Max Hall will start again for the Bombers while the team will be w/o Can OLs Steve Morley, Marc Parentau, and Paul Swiston in addition to imports Shannon Boatman and Andre Douglas. Due to injuries, the Bombers will start Canadian receivers Akeem Foster, Rory Kohlert and Jade Etienne or line up Canadians Carl Vony at RB or Michel-Pierre Pontbriand at FB. Terrence Edwards is listed as a back-up behind Etienne.

Edmonton – Don Oramasionwu is sidelined with a foot injury and will not play on Sat.

BC – Thomas DeMarco will start for Lions in the QB position with Travis Lulay still out with an injured shoulder. Paris Jackson replaced Marco Iannuzzi in practice; Emmanuel Arceneaux is still out with a leg injury as is Dante Marsh; Buck Pierce is battling the flu and the Lions will be activating SFU rookie Andrew Marshall on STs. The Lions will also be w/o ST’s player Stu Foord who suffered a dislocated knee in last Sunday’s game against the Riders.

Calgary – OL Billy Peach will start as a backup OL while RT Dan Federkeil and OL Spencer Wilson are both out with injuries. The Stamps plan to use all 3 of their QBs for the game; KR Larry Taylor also returned to practice on Thursday as did CB Brandon Smith.

Toronto – Rickie Ray – shoulder; Chad Kackert – concussion, and Chad Owens – ribs will travel w/ the team but are not expected to start though Kackert could be a game day decision – meanwhile the team is still awaiting updates on injured players DL Kiante Tripp, and TE Zander Robinson along with WR Spencer Watt.

Montreal – QB Tanner Marsh has been placed on the nine-game injured list (thumb). The Als have signed QB Nathan Enderle from Idaho who will be #3 on the their depth chart.

Hamilton – The Ti-Cats announced the signing of import QB Stephen McGee a native of Round Rock, Texas who spent 3 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

Milestones in the CFL this week

Sask receiver Geroy Simon has a chance to surpass the all-time receiving record of Ben Cahoon this week as the Riders meet the Als on Sunday, both are currently tied at 1,017 apiece.

Edmonton receiver Fred Stamps will play in his 100th Career CFL game when the Esks host the Argos on Sat night. Fred surpassed the 7,000 yard mark in his 97th game, has been named both a Western Division All-Star and a CFL All-Star four times and is likely to record his fifth straight 1,000 yard season in the game.

Too true, Kreskin. As one wag on the Rider's forum put it, BC could have left their offense at home and still won the game handily. I've seen a couple of bad, boring games this year but this one tops them all. Not taking away anything from BC - they played a great game and DeMarco came through for them again - actually the entire team played a tight game. But it was not action-packed and watching one team completely dominate another is not my idea of a fun time.

Final score on this stinker 53 to 17.

the one emotional and uncomfortable (for bombers) time was when the fans started calling for 'buck'
then buck came onto the field, and they stood and cheered him, a nice smack in the face for the
coach/mgr who treated him badly, (at least I think they did)
he's not the best qb in the league, but he is a true 'team' guy, a 'leader', and I am glad lions
rescued him from that bunch, good on them, and good on him, he is well liked and definitely deserved
'better', from the blue bombers organization.

The Bombers are a complete mess. Football can't get any worse than the product they put on the field.
