For a group that isn't looking to import (foreign) resources, China is sure interested in buying crude and coincidentally falling over themselves to provide the financing for as many LNG facilities as will be approved in NorAm, North Africa, Australia and the Philippines.

Actually, China doesn't know how much tight oil is in its oil shales, China is 'betting' on tight oil, but is 'insuring'. so you are right there.

Sadly for the usual suspects, you can't tax nature.

On that note, we still have to wait and see what the decline curves look like on the shale resources... The projections may be skewed as there is not so much data to rely on

There is even less Data for 'tight oil' in the third world. Oil shale was always assumed to be a mineable product, not a drillable product .
