I don't know what it's like in Canada, but in the U.S., I'm informed by prisoners and ex-cons, it doesn't matter what you did to get into prison. What matters is how smart and hard you are inside.
This myth of "honest prisoners dispensing rough justice" is just that, a myth.
Not true. The general prison population may be made up of thieves and murderers and God knows what, but even they think child molesters and child murderers are the absolute worst offenders. Why do you think they keep these swine in solitary confinement? By some weird thinking, we think we have to protect them from the general prison population.
What's your source for that? Mine, as I said, is conversations with prisoners and ex-cons I've spoken to as part of my work.
We once had a guy called Clifford Olsen.........This animal killed ten or eleven kids after doing unspeakable things to them. When I worked, I was a mechanical designer and I did some work at the prison where Olsen and other swine were kept. Convicts I talked to didn't think Olsen would live more than a week or so if he wasn't in solitary confinement.
As much as I detest and abhor anyone who F**ks around with kids, I don't think murderers and thieves, should be inflicting punishment on anyone. They should be "cleaning up their own backyard" and minding their own business. Following their line of reason, maybe those incarcerated for income tax evasion or not paying their fines, should be putting a beating on the murderers and thieves.
I still think "people" like this should be introduced to horny, wild male gorillas....... many times.
I'm pretty sure that if I were her dad and if I ever caught any of them, those bits of sewer scum would be alive and enjoying life while permanently mangled.

I don't know that it's gloating, I think for the most part it's a way for people to just express their outrage. Some may actually mean it, but I don't think many really and truly do. Not when it gets right down to it.
Guess I phrased that badly, I was talking about already convicted felons serving time.
