It's also a little pathetic how many men regard a good butt-whoopin' (or butt-something) to be the appropriate punishment for rape. "There y'go, my darlin' daughter, I done whooped the butt of that boy that done raped you. So now ever'thang's OK."

No it is not appropriate - No it is not right- will it address the issues she will have- no -but do they deserve it- Yep. But I would also break their fingers- every ffn day that was cold, or wet their fingers would ache, they would remember.
