The spill was reported to federal and provincial authorities--so how, exactly, was the public not notified? Were they supposed to go door-to-door?

Well, at least they eco-junkies don't use any terrible ghg omitting elements that would hurt ole Mother Gaia.
Like the CO2 coming out of the BC hydro power station wthin farting distance of this ouil spill that power is stolen from?

.. But at least they probably didn't use any of that terrible heavy equipment that belch diesel fumes into the air (our life support system)... Suzuki's big diesel bus is more than we need, but since he's essential, I can ignore those emissions.
I'm gonna gues that it takes as many as the big crude refinery in Burnaby requires
