Good, I'm glad to hear it. After you hear about so many TTC employees sleeping on the job or being rude, abrasive, and just plain nasty and keeping their jobs, it would be a shame if the guy who went out of his way to try to assist someone in distress was fired.

I figured they'd do an about-face, but I must admit that I didn't think that they would have done so this quickly.:)

Collective bargaining power is generally good. especially if it is industry wide. Having unions dictate what color your $hit must be is a different story.

Most of the people that I know in a union spend as much time complaining about the union as anything else. They recognize the necessity in the collective bargaining power that they need to earn a decent living, but they also recognize the downside. Being a decent worker they can be especially bitter over the protection afforded to a poor worker. And I don't blame them for that.

Yes, I'm glad this didn't drag on. Nothing something you want to happen over Christmas, having your job on the line.8O
