Well, the gold in "this" case involves digging through dark, dank tunnels to find the nuggets.;)

(see, I'm on topic....in a way;) )

The way I figure it, if you're using one of the words from the thread title in your post, it qualifies as on topic. Don't know if that's an official rule, but it is one that I just made up.

That's why I always try to include the word "the" in titles of the threads I post, out of consideration for others. ;)

I'm just wondering if the govt will now melt the coins. If they are auctioned the family should get some of the proceeds IMHO

I imagine they'll do whatever will give them the most money back. If they auction them, the government(minus whatever the Auction House will charge for commission) will get the entire amount. There would probably be quite a few coin collectors that would love to get one of those coins into their collections, so I'll wager that the auction of the coins would net a very nice sum.

I thought it was about a drive through, and you said 'in the Sienna'...

I was thinking seine nets not the Crayola colour burnt sienna, but my Toyota Sienna hit the texas gate on the drive-through and I misspelt.
PS
I have panned for gold but not in the Seine.

Solid golden oldie.

Here's a query. They say silence is golden yet duck tape (the most effective way of ensuring silence) is silver. What's up with that? ;)

My ducts don't quack. Saw a goldeneye and three blue-winged teal today.
