He's a real bad man but...

We still don't have 1% of our people in jail no matter how bad this guy is in the unrelated article you posted.

We have about 32,000 cons in jail. That's 0.01% of our population. You have, comparatively 10 times as many people in jail. I'll jut let you dig up all the facts to prove me wrong.

I've no doubt. I'm sure you're 100% correct.

And when I see that a Triple Child murderer can walk the streets of Canada on his own I'm surprised that you have anyone in jail at all!

The crime rate in Canada and the US is almost identical. Apparently putting hundreds of thousands of people in jail for decades does very little to lower the crime rate.

1. No state puts people in prison for life for 3 trivial crimes. You have to have been convicted of 2 SERIOUS FELONIES before you are eligible for a 3rd Strike sentence. The theory is that if they have been convicted of 2 serious crimes already, and they commit another felony (trivial or serious), it's because they either have no intention of, or are incapable of, living a legal life.

2. It is 100% bull manure that 36% of home appliances, all bulletproof vests, 21% of office furniture, etc. are produced in prisons (and the rest of the statistics are also faulty or misleading). The ONLY office furniture produced in prisons is furniture for either the State that the prison is run by, or for the federal Government in Federal Prisons. None of it is sold on the open market.

Some appliances are manufactured in some prisons, but they also pay the prevailing wage to the inmates that produce those products. The State deducts the costs of fines, and the costs of imprisoning the inmate from those wages, and the rest is either sent to the prisoners family, or is credited to their inmate account. And, no prisoner is required to do that work, it is 100% voluntary.

100% of the military helmets are NOT manufactured in prisons. They are manufactured by several different companies, on competitive bids.

Wherever that information came from, the source is wildly inaccurate.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that You Tube is NOT a valid source for much of anything. Anyone can put virtually anything there, and accuracy is NOT a requirement.
