This is the most recent info I could find:
The Sparta | New equipment needed for holed Sparta... | Stuff.co.nz

....On Saturday an air force Hercules dropped a water pump
and diesel on the ice shelf next to the Sparta, after a
seven-hour flight from Christchurch.

With the extra pump and onboard pumping equipment the crew
was keeping ahead of the water ingress, RCCNZ said. But it
also noted yesterday that the crew were having difficulty
trying to fix a patch to the damaged part of the hull
because they needed to stop one of the pumps
to do that work, and when they did the water
level crept up again.

Good info Ron.
I wonder if this ship has any divers on board. The hole is .3 meters, about a foot and a half wide.
Would have thought would be fairly easy to patch. Patches are easier from 12,000 miles away..Lol
