I'd watch more of the game but that announcer drives me nuts. Feels like I'm watching Midget B when he does play by play.

LOL! Bang on..............I was thinking much the same thing just a few minutes ago but this game is just so good I let his inanity slip past. I just heard one of those guys say that the Oilers are playing without 4 of their top defence men - honestly you would never know it they are that good tonight. Khabby has been solid except for one that Bolland 'snuck by' him but really the Oilers have spent more time in the opposing teams end so he has had it pretty good.

Rock on Oilers

Outstanding game!

They fought right up until the final whistle blew. What a game!

Lots of laughs during that game-I love seeing Chicago's face rubbed in it.

Nothing like taking on the 'best' in the NHL and winning hands down! Hard to believe that Chicago is so good when they looked so bad last night. The 'kids' skated circles around them and generally made the Hawks pay for most of their mistakes. Rock on Oilers.

Toronto Maple Leafs seem to be winning a lot of games they won 64% of their games and as soon as the seven injured players are better they will win more

Taylor Hall had a hat trick and 19 year old rookie sensation Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had 5 assists. Both Jordan Eberle and Tom Gilbert got a goal and 3 assists, in addition Ales Hemsky, Ryan Jones, Ryan Smyth and Shawn Horcoff put a point each on the board in the win.

Joffrey Lupul found himself tied for 3rd among the top NHL scorers after scoring a goal and getting 3 assists on the night for the Leafs. Phil Kessel continued his winning ways with a goal and an assist for a league leading 14 goals and 27 assists on the season thus far. Jonas Gustavsson had a 40 saves on the night and silenced some of his critics for now. Tim Connolly, Tyler Bozak, Matt Frattin, and Cody Franson and David Steckel also contributed to the win with a goal a piece.

The Leafs were without top goaltender James Reimer, defenceman Mike Komisarek, and forwards Mikhail Grabovske, Clarke MacArthur, Colby Armstrong and Mike Brown - all are on the injury list.

The Honeymooners always got top billing in our household when I was a kid - I still remember what I thought was one of the funniest skits that Jackie and Art did when Art decided to teach Jackie how to play golf. Remember Art telling Jackie he had to 'address the ball'? "Hello ball", says Jackie................that line still breaks me up.

And you are so right.................it is very sweet indeed. Rock on Oilers. :canada:

we loved his show, and also archie bunker, they both were the 'block heads' of their shows, and they
pulled it off perfectly.

What is funny about the Honeymooners is that when political correctness reared its ugly head, many 'feminists' took on the show as an example of how 'bad' men could be - me, I always knew that Alice ruled that roost. Archie Bunker was my all-time fav, never missed an episode - it was a ground-breaking series in so many ways. Okay, I'm off to watch the Eastern final. -12 with a wind chill factor in Winnipeg today - could make for slippery balls and a few TOs - we'll see. Go, Cats, Go.

My fantasy team is a mess. Two players I didn't really want, because I didn't trust their respective teams, are my standouts. We all knew Kessel could play: he's shown that before but he's in Toronto... a team known more for hype than realistic ability. Carey Price is playing well right now but I'm really not sold on him. I'm not a big believer in either the Habs or Leafs organizations right now. On the flip side, a guy I was happy to get, Semin, is a total bust so far this year. Go figure.

My Islanders started off pretty well but are struggling. A lot of youth there but we need to shore up the blue line and I'm not 100% sold on Nabokov as the goalie either.

I am absolutely thrilled that the best player in the game is poised to return after an 11 month injury. Talk in Pittsburgh is Sid will be back against the Isles.

I'm pretty happy with mine. The only real disappointment I have is Bobby Ryan but just about anybody that picked a Duck is not happy save Selanne. I'm hoping Sid ain't done but after Kariya and Savard, I'm not too positive.

Sid will be an average player for the next year.

Me too, wulfie..................been waiting so long for this. TSN made the announcement before the Eastern final and it made my day.

Sid will be an average player for the next year.

Then so be it, TP...........I'm just glad for Sid himself that he is back playing again.

One of these days I will be able to come here and view every single vid - cause I will finally have wireless capability. As that day has yet to dawn, thanks but I will have to look at in the future - hopefully.

Me too. I can't imagine what it feels like to be unable to do the one thing that you're paid to do, and what you've always wanted to do, your whole life. He must be so full of pent up frustration.

I hope he does well, but I think it will take him a year to get back into playing mode.

I know thst practicing isn't playing, but he's been practicing 'with contact' for so long, that I can
see him playing quite close to his normal pace, he just needs get over being excited to be playing again,
and settle in.
now were going to hear for the next 6 months 'how' crosby is doing after getting back, i'm so so tired
of it all.
