Does no one understand the art of political theatre?
The conservatives appointed the justices with the knowledge there would
be protest from the NDP. The New Democrats and Liberals accepted the
appointments in principle before they were announced other wise the
appointments would have been held up in this case. There was a couple
of days of noise and it settled down with no further hype. Realize this is
theatre not a matter of substance accept that for what it is.
The Liberals on the other hand are demonstrating they are still relevant
on the Hill that is all it is. Everyone on both sides of the House realize
the antics and life goes on. We do take our politics much too seriously at
times. If there were no games there would be no relevance.
There are a lot of more important things to come this merely sets the stage

Call it theater which I disagree with. These Bozos want all SCOC Judges to be Bilingual before appointment.
It is just this type of scenario that pisses people off about bilingualism - That leaves a lot of talent off to the side.

Many people in Govt are promoted and take French Courses. Same with in the Military. But they take it after in most cases.
