If the BNA made it a 'rule' that constitutional matters had to be voted on the a common vote they why was not each treaty after that date not voted on by the people of Canada even if the Natives were barred from being classified as citizens even after they had signed their 'good neighbor' agreement in good faith. (the other side already had loop-holes built in that were never fully explained, that is when the document became tainted and only one side was clearly in charge of that.

I hope their double-talk finally bites them on the ass. If Parliament never sits again does that delay the case?

If Sir Walter Raleigh was acting on behalf of a countries government, and that country is
still in existence....there's the target. Raleigh's being dead would mean little in that case.

Clergy (deceased) are sued regularily (from how I currently understand things), and the
government pays, as they had been acting on behalf of that goverment, as in the
residential schools issues here in Canada and elsewhere.

I'll bet we could get more from the bands than what they think we owe them. I'm going to look into this.

Good luck with that.

I have to ask though...

What is it that you think you will be able to recoup from the Manteo and Wanchese, American Native Nations, here in Canada?

And what exactly do "we" owe Manteo and Wanchese, American Native Nations?

You do realize Roanoke Island is in the States right?

Sorry about the confusion, the article that I was referring to on that page, as was mentioned in th etitle of this thread, is in regards to the treaty breach, along the Niagara.

Here, try this link...

http://mostlywater.org/treaty_breach..._niagara_lands

They don't work there anymore, but if you get the shovel, I'm sure you can dig them up and put them under citizens arrest. But that's a topic for a different thread.

Oh that's just opening a can of worms mate. ;-)

I guess we won't be seeing Cannuck back in this thread.

Gotta hate it when it's so easy to hand them their ass.

Speak for yourself unless you can show a permission slip. Not a law it is good manners, or a tactic somebody on shaky ground uses and that still doesn't make Cannuck a 'them'

Ummm, I'm not sure what you think Gh said, but he stated nothing like you seem to think he did.

Not a law it is good manners, or a tactic somebody on shaky ground uses and that still doesn't make Cannuck a 'them'
he isn't alone in the group of people that get served around here. Hence 'them' being as appropriate as 'we'.

Yes, here you are avoiding answering the questions you were asked.
Here I am! I guess you guess wrong. Wasn't the first time. Won't be the last.

BTW, exactly how did he "hand me my ass"?
Maybe, if you didn't get served, you could answer my questions then.

As are you. I can see it will be an awfully long time before you can actually point out anywhere you have "served" me.
OK, let's get this over with...

I now point out the major error in your knowledge of North American geography, and history in general on this topic.

Then you ignore the bulk of that post, and focus instead on one small mined quote, so you actually have something to attack, while applying a healthy helping of innuendo and accusations.

Then I reply, asking if you missed the rest of the post. Ask a couple more questions that go unanswered.

Then you come back with some other fallacy about how I haven't done anything of the sort.

Then it it just turns into a slue of insults resulting in you talking about my genitalia again.

Ya, that sounds about right.

The nice thing, I just saved myself and any member that would actually like to discuss the topic, a whole lot of time.

Take care Cannuck, better luck next time.
