LOL...name calling....the last gasp of the intellectually bankrupt.

Nope, making stuff up or crying about mods is the last gasp of the intellectually bankrupt.

Well, got any proof of your claim?

Eh...wot?

Didn't think so.

I'm totally shocked that both Alberta teams lost last night.

your sense of humour overwhelms me. lol

canucks looked a little off balance last night, a typical road team at the end of their
trip.
missed passes, and just not gelling at all.
they had a few sparks from time to time, but all in all not the best team on the ice.
good to see ballard back, but he still has to get up to speed, not the player he should
be, but that will come, he had a couple of set backs, and it shows.

luongo fell on one of his spins last night, hillarious, but didn't cause
a goal, thankfully, quite entertaining though. lol

road trip was 500 I guess, could have been better, but that's the way it goes, remember
what detroit looked like in the last period when we beat them not too long ago, ran out
of gas, no legs, and just couldn't play very well at all.
that's the downside of long road trips, but happens to everyone sometime or another.

I think we play chicago next, they trashed edmonton last night 5-0, and pushed them further
into the depths of despair, and also it was nice seeing calgary lose again, 3-1 by phoenix.
never breaks my heart.

Shows how little you know about hockey.

Not surprising really since you are a 'nucks fan.

Pittsburgh had a plan and stuck to it-Chicago will be even tougher.

I'm not so sure. Chicago doesn't impress me much this season. I think they'll rebound by the end of the year but there was so many changes to the team it will take some time. A team, contrary to Taloolla is not just a sum of its parts. Canucks should win this one and it'll be a pretty bad sign if they don't.

it will be chicago's 3rd game in 4 nights, on the road, so the advantage
should for canucks, and canucks have a great home record, their troubles have been on the road.

chicago have the makings of a very good team again, but like the canucks they have
lots of new players, so it does take time to gel and become a real team, doesn't
happen overnight.
toews just got a hat trick against edmonton, although his second goal was a gift,
an attempted pass across the front which went in of of gilbert, but a hat trick
non the less.

should be a good game, looking forward to it.

I agree BUT that game against Toronto kind of scared me. Wish they wouldn't do those things. Perhaps you could have a stern talk with them.

no guarantee JLM with any game, all teams will have their wins, even the basement dwellers, they can't
lose them all.
and toronto always have gotton 'up' when canucks come to town, lots of buzz and hype.
canadian teams against other canadian teams seem to do that, it's still all about canada,
when it comes to hockey, that will never go away, well, maybe in the minds of some south
of the border, but (we won't tell them how it really is, will we).

canucks have struggled on the road this season, and last. something they have to iron out,
as season goes on.

Pat Burns died today, age 58- very sad.

yes JLM, it is very sad, not very old at all, he was a good guy, didn't
deserve all the suffering he went thru, his death was announced some time
ago, so he called into the radio station and reminded them that he was still here,
with a sarcastic but joking style, he didn't hang his head at all, he stayed strong and
very alert, with all the awareness of what was coming, he was a strong man.

these sorts of games, when they happen have to be written off, and move on. When chicago played 'just
as bad' as we played tonight, 'the night before' against calgary, and were beaten 7 - whatever I forget,
i'm sure canucks knew chicago would be coming into vancouver totally pissed off with themselves and
out to redeem themselves, well, they did that, now it's canucks turn to do it tomorrow night, lets see
if it happens.
these sorts of games don't have much to do with how good the one team is, or how bad the other is, over
a length of time, but just on that night.
it happens to all of the teams one time or another, just ask any of them, and they will say, oh yeah
we played so and so a few weeks ago and they hosed us 8-0, or 7-2 or whatever, that's just life and
then life goes on.
the only ones who will not get over this and will go into deep depression are canuck fans, who will
think their team is crap now, and ready for the scrap heap.

what I do think canucks coaching staff should take away from this game is the fact that they have been
depending too much on their power play to win games, and the five on five play hasn't been strong
enough. when the power play goes sour, there should still be some push, five on five to score goals,
and canucks haven't been doing that for some time, so they need to address that problem.

power play and penalty kill are highly important these days in NHL, but five on five cannot become
weak either, all three groups need to contribute. all of the teams work to do the same, can't ignore
anything these days, everything is so thorough, and well thought out, and practiced in detail so that
they can have an advantage over their opposition.

luongo wasn't pulled because of his play, he was given rest because he plays sunday, and the game
was obviously down the toilet by then, and schneider can step in and do a good job we all know that
now.

tomorrow against phoenix.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the Leafs and Habs game, where both teams played with speed and effort. What a difference from watching this hapless slow-motion west coast game.

I'm also very impressed with Carey Price. Are the Habs willing to swap for Luongo? Interesting how they moved Halak and kept Price against nearly everyone's wishes. By the looks of the decision, one would think the Montreal Canadiens have had some experience with assessing potential hockey talent. Who knew?

Looking at the game from a Vancouver fan's point of view, the Canucks were bloody awful. They couldn' t score. Their defense was pitiful. Their goaltending was straight out of minor hockey. I stopped watching after the second period. As it turned out, the third was just more of the same. These guys are supposed to be professionals.
