Wondering if anyone out their does. I think Liberalman is in this market. I have some domain names but have not really taken a stab at selling. I've let some lapse and have hung on to others. I think the domain industry is going to get interesting over the next few years. I'm strictly .ca right now and am encouraged to read that people are running for CIRA directorship that want the TLD to loosen up the non-Canadian rules. If they did then the .ca will have a new market - California.

Anyway, thought I'd see if anyone else is dabbling in the digital property arena.

About 13 I use three web sites and point the rest towards the three I use.

How much do you want for your web sites?

What is the most economical way to go about creating a site. Lots of brokers out there but I am sure there is a more inexpensive way to do this. i have been thinking about this for some time but need some assistance.

Right now only one is seriously a website. If I sell it then I might do something with another. If I play my cards right I should get low to mid 6 figures. It's a three letter generic industry name. It has received some corporate interest.

First thing is to register a name. There are lost of registrars. Then you can get a low cost webhost that probably offers some automated scripts for websites. Get the DNS server info from the host and log it into the registrar account. (Many will do both register and host).

How about you? What type of sites and what are your plans with them?

I use Ibuilt.net I use for hosting because they have hundreds of web site templates you can design from it took me a short time to understand the editor program.

I am using a Canadian company for registering my domain names

Using a designer costs a lot of money but if you are using it for commercial purpose then it’s worth it but it will cost you.

If you are using it for personal or info site then use the design your own web sites.

There is a lot of cheap sites that will get you up and running but they offer different options.

I'm on this .ca registration kick in case CIRA opens up international registration. Might not happen next year or two but I can't see it not going that way someday. If not I can always try to use what I have.

I have California in my sights on that so have recently registered three domains:

lodi.ca
orangecoast.ca
greaterlosangeles.ca

I tried to register another (thought I found a pot of gold) but it's hung up in some dispute and apparently unavailable, though still haven't heard back the final word.

You could also post your offerings on some of the bigger webmaster forums, for example, sitepoint, digitalpoint, etc.
For matters relating specifically to the buying and selling of domain names, you especially might want to check out the Domain Name Forums:

http://www.dnforum.com/

And the Webhosting Talk forums might be worth a look too; they are pretty big:

Hope this helps.
