Like I said, so what? A lot of aboriginals are considered by Canada to be Canadians and afford us the same things as "regular" Canadians. I think there are treaties dealing with that, too.

Not even, some of us chose to serve Canada's Armed Forces, because like my ancestors, we see Canada as our ally. I consider myself Canadian in every way.

The rest of the world needn't care because the discussion was whether aboriginals have sovereignty. Aboriginals have very limited "sovereignty" because it is recognized only by two countries. England, the country that made the Jay Treaty with the USA, no longer has an interest in it. And to go to England, you must have a passport.
The rest of the world, even England, doesn't recognize aboriginal "sovereignty" in Canada.

Over time, it appears the US is less likely to honour treaties made by the English over their territory. For security purposes, the Jay Treaty does very little for them.
I've had great difficulty in dealing with that duality. How did you come to a comedic conclusion in dealing with it personally?
