"Americans have had 5000 plus casualties in Afghanistan from Taliban suicide/roadside bomb attacks"....
Hmmm....you mean not one of those 5000 died from hand-to-hand combat with the Taliban?
Okay. I didn't mention ambushes and the other ways those soldiers could have died but believe me, hand to hand combat would have been far down the the list. The Taliban don't do hand to hand. They prefer to wait in ambush or bury a half ton of dynamite in the road and set it off from a distance.
Did you look up the full text of his conference yet?I see....similar tactics the US use ie dropping big ole bombs from on high at suspected Taliban strong-holds by helicopters/remote-controlled drones etc?
Ooops....another batch of innocents mistaken for `the bad guys` blown to itty-bitty pieces. Sooory..but don`t y`all worry. Cheques are in the mail.

My guess is no, but there's always hope that you might join us in reality and show some objectivity.
My head was never in the sand, I'm no "yankee sympathizer" and I read the entire transcript of his video conference. The `reality` is, if you can pull yer head outta the sand long enough and quit being a yanky sympathizer, listen to the good General`s own words of admission.
Yep, that's part of what he said. Now what was the correct context of that JBeee, show me you have a shred of intellect and post the whole statement. The term `amazing number` or majority of those Afghans shot at and killed by NATO forces are/were of no threat.
I'm sure they don't and having followed Gen. McCrystal's posting, I am well aware of his tactics and his policies. I highly doubt you are. Especially since you have likely only read one sentence of what the man has said in his appointed post.Whats going on in the moron`s heads deployed over there is anyones guess but it boils down to those in charge. Turning a blind eye, cover-ups and blaming it on Afghani dress-code just don`t cut it.
Oh I do, make no mistake, I do. I fully endorse McCrystal's position and I think his policies may actually work. I may cost more lives, but I think he's right about how to win this war now.Now quit yer whining and accept the facts as they be.

What say you on McCrystal's policies and tactics?
