3 consecutive land slide majorities for the Chrétien Liberals voids all you silliness.
By the Way the NDP will never form Government in the federal political arena.

Grow up, pal.

I like the diversion.
According to the preferred definition of free markets, and the statements by the leader of the Liberal Party, I pointed out that the party doesn't support free markets, which is one of the 'defining' points about liberalism, according to this thread.

So instead of thinking about those things, the correct response is to say, 'yeah, so, Chretien got 3 majorities'?

I guess that makes sense to me.

In other words, to summarize this thread:

"The definition of Liberalism is Chretien got 3 majorities, so you're an idiot."

Nicely summarized TP.

I believe the definition confuses liberal thought with the libertarianism of Friedman and Rand. Right now the "definition" describes the Wild Rose Party which lies to the right of the Conservatives. But, then again Sir J is a conservative which seems to bug other conservatives! Go figure!

I hate to say this...(no I don't) but a lot of Liberals being atheist and all......sure do like to "Pontificate"

I seriously doubt that a lot of Liberals are Atheists. There just aren't that many Atheists in Canada. Most Liberals are Christians (though many conservatives would consider them the Spawn of the Devil).

to me liberalism is just another way of saying your going to be a conservative

I see So do you expect that Canada will be 100% conservative in the near future? You must, if you think that all liberals are going to be conservative.

So, can we look forward to a Harper landslide come next election? Oh, happy days are here again. The Messiah is about to take us to the Promised land of majority, the Promised Land of Paradise.

You still haven't answered my argument (and I am not surprised, it is unanswerable). After prolonged rule by Trudeau and by Chretien, Canada is fully as much a free market, as much a capitalistic country as USA.

That is what the link I have given tells us. And what do you have to counter that? Why, your personal opinion (without any evidence) that Liberals are the Spawn of the Devil.

the reason why im saying that, in my short fart of a life time ive noticed the liberals try and change things to their liking and then keep it to their liking, kinda how they say conservatives like the things the way they are now

I am not a conservative Spade, wash your mouth with soap. But you are right that I bug conservatives, I drive them apoplectic. That is what I am here for.

Hey why hijack the thread with an opinion poll that will serve you only. Start your own thread calling it "Do you pensive me to be Conservative Liberal or NDP". :canada:

That is not what was said.

Liberal supported quotas, and marketing boards, are not conducive to a free market. Period.

I'm not planning to 'answer your argument', because it is a non-argument.
YOU claim that the Liberal Party supports FREE MARKETS.
YOU provided the link to the definition of FREE MARKETS.
By YOUR definition, we do not have FREE MARKETS, and the Liberal Party demonstrably does not support them.

What does comparing Canada to the US have to do with that?

If I asked you if you had $5, is the correct answer that you have more money than a guy down the street?

No, it's a non answer. It's a complete avoidance of the question.

Where do you get off claiming that I think the Liberal Party is the spawn of the devil?
Where in this thread have I stated my opinion on the Liberal Party?
